The price of this steamer encouraged me to purchase it, along with the somewhat okay reviews. I regularly used this steamer every week to steam my husband’s clothes. There are a few design flaws. 1. The base leaks! Maybe the steam is too strong, I have no idea. But when I’m done steaming and move the unit to tuck it away, there’s a large pool of water underneath it that I need to clean up. Annoying. Inconvenient. 2. The telescoping pole and the hanger attachment. When attaching the hanger at the very top of the pole, it sits on top but there’s no way to secure it to the pole. So what happens? When extending the pole, you don’t know where to stop. I end up pulling and pulling where I’m surprised when it stops, and the hanger comes flying off across the room. Super annoying. Unnecessary. If you think you can cope with that, make yourself an indicator on the pole so you know where to stop, or just tape the stupid hanger on top of the pole so it doesn’t fly off. 3. Tube malfunction- steam started coming out where the hose attaches to the handheld steamer part. It happened out of no where and I burned my hand with the extremely hot steam (which in itself isn’t a bad thing unless you’re steaming your skin unintentionally) Overall, it’s cheap for a reason. I’d look somewhere else.

I purchased a Salav GS60 back in 2016, and it's still going strong! I steam clothes year-round to get out wrinkles as well as freshen sweaters and blazers. For creases or folded hems in denim, the steamer is a indispensable, quickly making work of the task. My steamer has a prominent location in the laundry room, and it has literally been the envy of guests, staying at our house and needing to touch-up their clothes from travel, by making their work a breeze. I cannot recommend this product enough. My only regret is that I didn't buy one sooner. Toss out your iron and experience the ease of having a steamer to get your outfits ready to go!
