Absolutely the best Uncrustable, & here's why...

Here's why you should buy these at Sam's Club and not at your local grocery store: 1. They're packaged in a larger quantity box with more individual sandwiches than the largest box size sold in grocery stores. 2. Simply put, these are slightly bigger in actual size and contain more peanut butter and strawberry jam than the same ones you'd buy at your local grocery store. In fact, on the outside of the box in which these Uncrustables are packaged, it even states that they are a larger size. I'm actually glad it says that, because for the longest time I thought I was losing my mind when thinking that these were bigger than the exact same ones I would buy at my local grocery store. IMPORTANT TIP: KEEP THESE IN THE FREEZER AND NOT THE REFRIGERATOR until you're ready to thaw them out and eat them. Do not ever put them into the fridge! That dries them out by removing the moisture from the bread. Consequently, it's like eating shoe leather. Trust me, because dummy me did that the very first time I ever bought Uncrustables. Always keep these hard-frozen until you are ready to thaw them out and eat them. I recommend thawing them out for a little longer than the manufacturer's recommendation of 30 to 60 minutes. I personally leave them out to thaw for a couple hours, and when they're completely thawed out, they are so soft and delicious! I have two of these, a small bag of Fritos chips, and a bottle of water for my short, 28-minute lunch at school where I teach. Because these are a little thicker and filled with a little more peanut butter and jam than a grocery store bought one, they make for a decent lunch, making me feel full but not bloated. I have had the grape jelly Uncrustables as well as the recent, new peanut butter and honey Uncrustables on wheat bread. I have not had the chocolate or other varieties, so of the three that I have mentioned in this review, I would rank them in this order, with #1, of course, being the best: 1. Strawberry jam 2. Peanut butter and honey 3. Grape jelly

Delicious & convenient

I love these. I live alone & theyse are great to have in my freezer. I like to eat 1 just bedore it's completely thawed. In this pkg, tho, there have been a few that felt & tasted stale around the outer edge (the edge was hard after thawing). These are generally a great value.

Your Mileage May Vary

These are convenient, but a little challenging. I stopped buying them a year or so ago, because thawing them out was inconsistent. Though I followed directions, the thawed sandwiches were frequently soggy on one side and hard on the other. It did not matter if I thawed them in the refrigerator or counter, laying them flat or standing on edge. I recently saw the sandwiches at Sam's Club with different packaging, and decided to give them another try. The bread on the sandwiches for the first several was soft and the sandwiches tasty. After a week or so, thawing the sandwiches led to the same results as in the past - one side soggy and the other hard. For some, I'm sure the convenience outweighs the uncertain result, but I will not buy them again.

Lunch on the go

Uncrustables by Smucker’s strawberry are pre-made, sealed sandwiches. These sandwiches are made with soft, crustless bread filled with a generous portion of strawberry jam. They’re a quick, convenient snack or meal option, especially for busy parents looking for an easy lunch or for people on the go!

Convenient, tasty, quick on-hand snack

Tasty, easy to grab snacks for kids & adults. I was pleasantly surprised that the amount of peanut butter & jelly used was not skimpy at all. One of these snack sandwiches can hold you over for several hours. The kids can grab it & open it without help. You don't even have to let it thaw to enjoy!
