Already had this unit for 2 months and it has been such a great addition outdoor area. We live in South Florida and needed a gazebo over the newly updated BBQ area to protect it from the sun and the rain. Once the gazebo was completely up you can feel how sturdy and solid it sits on the surface without having secure it against the wall, it can free stand with no additional support. After an extensive research this unit by far proved to be the more high quality gazebo and the assembly instructions were very easy to follow with all hardware clearly marked. This has transformed the backyard to even a better space in our home and enhancing the look of outdoor space. Some of our visitors have been so impressed by it that they are planning to add one to there outdoor space.

Purchased the 20x12 kingsport carport and ended up enjoying it so much that two years later I purchased the 24x12 arcadia gazebo. Besides the enjoyment in general they are actually sturdy enough for the Pennsylvania mountains wind and snow…and look cool in the process lol.

This purchase has made my outdoor space a retreat from the day to day hustle and bustle . We have received many compliments and even have had people stop and knock on our door

This backyard discovery xl grill gazebo was easy to assemble with 2 people. The instructions were easy to follow. We decided to turn the grill around using the back as the front, so when it rains the water will run off away from the house. We also have a backyard discovery gazebo we purchased a few years ago. I am absolutely in love with their products, from the designs to the quality. Its not flimsy wood this very sturdy cedar wood. I highly recommend their products and will be making another purchase soon.

I bought a month ago. Spent three days putting the sealant and stain on every square inch of cedar wood. Had two guys put together with me assisting on lifting sections. Took about 20 hrs to put completely up. Went together great and looks awesome and very solid. Only thing I did was buy my own concrete bolts. I used 1/2 bolts . It never going anywhere.

Overall this was an ok install. Much easier to do than if I would have bought all the materials and built it myself. The steps were clear, BUT there were occasions where I did some things incorrectly that I then needed to redo. My list of things I would call out for someone else putting this together: 1. The instructions are written with the front being the taller end. In my case I wanted to have the front be the shorter end. With smaller things, pivoting the item works well, but something of this size and weight I needed to build right to left and reverse terms like "FRONT" and "BACK" 2. When putting the rafters in, some pieces have angled ends and needed to go in a certain direction to fit. 3. There are extra screws, bolts, nuts, etc.. in case you mess something up. 4. If you're anchoring into concrete, a hammer drill is your friend. 5. If you're placing it next to something, account for space to use a drill. It was tight at times to fit a drill in and to access the back of the roof for the edging where we placed it. 6. It comes in a lot of boxes that are heavy, especially the roofing. It took me and one other person about 4 half days to build, and 15 minutes or so at night organizing what bolts we would need for the next day so we could move quicker.

This purchase was the worst experience we’ve had throughout our years of being members. We paid for the assembly through Sam’s Club. The assembly wasn’t done correctly. We had over 10 different appointments of people either not showing up or receiving the incorrect replacement parts from backyard discovery. The last time we received an incorrect part and we just decided to use that final piece instead of waiting for another order and the parts to get mailed to us. Overall, the whole roof had to be replaced due to the original assemblers damaging the roof during assembly. The process took over two months because of the incompetence of the assembly company, Out of the Box, and Backyard Discovery’s inability to send the correct pieces and parts four times

This is not about the product itself but about getting the right 🕐. Sam's Club the worst experience ever!!!. I saw the display, I loved it, asked for it but when I got home and opened the box, it was a dark chocolate color, I took it back, and explained I specifically had asked for one like the display, for them to tell me that they don't have a way to see what color was it, and the only thing they could do, was to sell me another one , and for me to open it, and see if it was the right one, if not to return it until I get lucky and hit the jackpot 😂😂😂😂😂😂. The most stupid thing I've ever heard, from a company that works with wholesales, unbelievable they don't have control of what they're selling to the customer. Geeeeeez!!!

i think, it wouldve been nice to have had the booklet, or the scan code, prior to the boxed parts, arriving on site. since there were so many boxes, it was difficult to get to the box with the instructions. it took 2 men and 1 woman about 6 full days to complete. I dont know if, instructiobs werent clear, or if the men jumped ahead, and thought they knew better ha ha. But the first 2 days was a lot of redoing. Did have left over bolts n screws, but were short on a few, and drip edge. seems like a wellbuilt carport. very nice color and trim. so time will tell how it holds up. Good luck!
