When I placed mine in my trash bin, it expanded to form fit the whole container and stayed durable with everything I threw in it over the course of a week. No leaks or spills. I never smelled anything stinky or foul as the lovely fresh lemon scent masked it well. These are my favorite trash bags so far! I couldn't use them in the kitchen since they are not tall enough for my trash can, however I used them for the bathroom and they work perfectly!.
