I purchased a Tempur-Pedic mattress about Thirty years ago and it was the best mattress I ever slept on. I felt it was time to replace the mattress, so I ordered this new one and it is incredible to sleep on, I would not own any type of mattress other than a Tempur-Pedic mattress.

I love my Tempur-Pedic bed and the queen pillows that are what the doctor would order for someone with sleep apnea and neck problems. My new bed is a little firmer than my first Tempur-Pedic mattress and I love how it holds me on the bed, not in it. I have tooted about my bed and three of my family members have switched from another name-brand mattress to Tempur-Pedics with an adjustable bed. I few nights in my bed was better than the ads the company placed. The firm Pillows are so supportive. My head is not out of line with my spine. I find I am sleeping all night on my back because I fall asleep within a few minutes with the massager in my Tempur adjustable base. It is very good that my adjustable bed frame worked just fine with my new mattress. It is an Adapt Medium Firm. The one thing I still must do is find a step or block to step on when I am getting into bed. The new Adapt mattress seems to be close to 2 inches thicker than my old one. I am a short woman and in the 7th decade of life, there are just some things that I don't do easily. I've been through catalogs and have not found anything. Next, stop at the hardware store for a block made from short pieces of two-by-four. Then I will soften it with foam and some durable fabric. Tempur-Pedic developers here is an idea for an accessory that would benefit a lot of people who are not tall enough to simply back up to the bed and sit or roll in and people with some impairments that make getting in and out of bed difficult or impossible without a helper. I sleep in a 5-star bed.

We purchased our mattress in December of 2016 and I was excited to try it out. I was hoping that the memory foam would help with my shoulders, low back, etc. My husband didn't have any issues. When we went to the store to check the mattresses out, the salesman made a big deal about us laying down on the mattresses so we could select the one that best fit our needs. Well the Medium firm mattress felt wonderful. And we laid on it for quite a while. We also tried the Soft one and it was very soft and didn't seem to have any support. So after discussing with the salesman, he said that it would probably take 60 days to break in the mattress so that it would be like the one we tried in the store. And if we were not happy with it, we could return it for a different one. Within 30 days, both my husband and I could hardly walk when we got up in the morning. The mattress was so hard. I put a foam pad on it and that helped a little. So we went back to the store to see if we could get a different one. They said we should give it more time and that we should not have added the foam - well they weren't sleeping on the darned thing. They also said we could trade it in for the Soft mattress but it would cost more money. I was really frustrated. The thing already cost us an arm and a leg, I felt we had already paid too much and didn't want to pay more money only to find out the soft one wouldn't work either. They also said that the reason the medium mattress felt so good at the store was because so many people had laid on it, trying it out, so it was broken in really good. So we went home disappointed and feeling like we were ripped off and determined to make the mattress work for us so we didn't have to pay more money to the store. After 90 days, the mattress was still as hard as it had been day 1. So we put the foam pad back on it. It has now been over 2 years and it is still as hard as it was on day 1. And yes, the foam pad is still on there. With the foam pad, we aren't limping out of bed. I firmly believe we were delivered the hard mattress. Lessons learned - (1) it does not help to try out mattress in the store, as they are not what you will receive; (2) don't believe the salesman when he says you can bring it back, there will be a catch; (3) buy a cheaper mattress so you can afford to get another one when the new one doesn't work out. I'm writing this at 1:30 am because I can't sleep, my shoulders are aching from laying on the mattress.

I've had my mattress and adjustable base for one year. I have always struggled with the night... Falling asleep, waking at the smallest sounds. I am high strung and I've tried many prescriptions, etc. My routine is turn on the sound machine, ear plugs and in bed by 9pm; up at 4am. I can say I am no longer grouchy when I wake. I'm 38 now and I feel the most rested I've ever felt. I use the Tempur Cloud breeze dual cooling pillow (I have a blown disc in my neck) and I put a regular hard pillow between my knees when I'm side sleeping. This bed is worth every penny and I'm so happy I sleep well these days. My remote the base stopped working. I called- was sent a replacement right away. I don't think anyone would be disappointed going with tempur

I was hesitant about the price, but after pulling the trigger, I could tell just after the first night for years, it would take me at least 45 minutes in the morning to get moving. Now I get out of bed and I feel 20 years younger and move right away. I should've bought this bed 10 years ago. Go for it you will not regret it

I like how the mattress supports my body. I feel less pain in the morning when I get out of the bed. However, it's hot at night. I usually end up throwing off the covers. Also, sometimes it feels a little lumpy. The mattress is very expensive for me.

We owned a Tempur-Pedic previously for just short of 20 years. Our bed is set up to accommodate the mattress without a box spring and the old mattress fit perfectly. Our new mattress is 2 inches narrower and 1-3/4 inches shorter. So now we see the wood platform it lies on. Very disappointing. The mattress is comfortable or we wouldn't have bought it. Don't feel the cooling effects of the mattress cover either. It's also very high uncomfortable to sit at the edge of the bed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Twelve years ago we spent a week at a lake house and got to try out a Tempur-Pedic mattress. We were sold after that week. Never had I slept so well, and my husband's back was happy too. It took us a few years to finally purchase our own, but I cannot imagine ever changing to another product. We bought a queen in 2015 and a king in 2019. Both are the same type, the original formula. Love them. For some reason I prefer the queen mattress, but don't sleep on it because my husband prefers the king. Both are wonderful. For the years we used the queen, I would climb into bed and say to my husband, "Aren't you glad we finally got this." Not exaggerating. It felt so good at the end of the day climbing into it. Still like the king mattress very much but it does not feel quite the same to me. It may be the frame. The queen has the flat foundation on a standard metal frame. The King has a power base so we cannot have a flat foundation under it, so that may be the difference. I can recommend both mattresses though. Love the traditional Adapt. It feels very firm at first but completely adapts to my body as I move.

The first year on our new Tempur Pedic Adapt Medium was great. Soft yet firm, with support everywhere you need it. Just like I remember from the Tempur Pedics that I slept on for years throughout high school and again after college. But almost to the day one year later, I started noticing neck pain when I woke up. It wouldn't go away, and started getting worse. I got the Tempur Pedic neck pillow, which did help a bit, and my wife says it reduced my snoring. But the neck pain never went away, with some days worse that others. After a few more months, my wife started having trouble sleeping because of back pain. Then I started getting back pain when lying on my back. We realized the areas where we sleep had gone completely soft, yet the sag in the top layer did not meet the company's warranty standards - as determined from the photos that they told me to take and send in. But this issue is not visible from the outside; it is a failure of the foam cells throughout the midlayers of the mattress. I can feel it by shifting to the center of the bed where neither of our bodies lie while sleeping. It feels like a ridge that you can balance on, like a thin sliver of support. But because of the properties of memory foam, there is no way to evaluate this without lying down on it. The mattress retains it's level form even as the interior foam completely breaks down. The company makes an effort to brand themselves as 'high end' and charge a fortune for their products. But just like their beds, the support from Tempur Pedic's customer service team is also severely lacking. It is very impersonal and you feel somewhat betrayed after getting completely shut down without a fair analysis. I am very disappointed with the way this company has become after being a previously happy customer. I used to recommend the beds anytime the subject came up, but I will never again. The product has gotten worse instead of better, and their service is abysmal.

This mattress does all of that! It's the perfect level of firmness and give and feels incredibly well made. It's my second tempur-pedic mattress and I continue to be incredibly happy with their products.
