We are sorry to hear about your experience. Here are some tips for you to protect this set. 1. Always cook on LOW TO MEDIUM HEAT. 2. HAND WASHING RECOMMENDED, even though they are DISHWASHER SAFE. 3. Always cool down to room temperature before hand washing. The use of high heat and a sudden temperature change (Thermal Shock) can cause metal fatigue, warping, deformation, non-stick deterioration, chipping, and discoloration. 4. Avoid sliding across the metal stovetops that may damage the bottom coating.
