Just peel the paper off the sticky cartridge and plug it into an outlet so it can do its thing. It doesn't taken up any space and sits pretty flush against the wall. Within the first day, I started noticing it catching gnats and small flying insects that had been buzzing around my house. It's completely silent, there's no strong odor, and I like that it doesn't use chemical sprays. The blue light is subtle enough that it isn't distracting, especially when it's plugged into a hallway or kitchen outlet. The only downside is that you'll need to replace the sticky refill cartridges periodically, especially if you have a lot of insects. The refills can add up over time, but for the convenience and effectiveness, I think it's worth it. With the kids constantly leaving the garage door and windows open all summer, we’ve had way more flies in the house than usual. The Zevo trap started catching them right away, I love that there is no mess like traditional fly, sticky tape. The blue light is also a nice bonus. It gives off enough light at night that I can see where I’m going without turning on the kitchen lights. The only complaint is there’s only one refill cartridge, so I’ll definitely be buying extra. Other than that, it’s clean easy to use, and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. I definitely recommended. Specially if you have kids or pets end up with flying bugs, you don’t have to deal with chemicals, or messy tapes. Has a small glow that attracts all of the fruit flies and house flies and it is sticky enough to capture them! The refills are not expensive and it looks sleek, since the bugs are captured on the back of it! Definitely good to have in the spring and summer when the bugs are out! Easy to dispose of the used traps as well.
