There's no odor. The durability is very strong and the power is amazing. I have it right in front of my door so as soon as the door opens and any insect tries to get in it will capture them. It isn't gross and ugly like the fly tape. In just a few days I already have flies on it and my fly problem has drastically decreased! I'm pleased with this fly trap!
