[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I gave this 2 stars because i like the look and concept however for me it failed miserably.I plugged it In near my sink In my bathroom to attract the small drain gnats.I have tried everything to try to remedy the situation so i was excited to try this!The size of the coverage pad was nice and the blue light wasn't overwhelming.However i didn't find this effective at all, over a period of almost 8 days it only caught 1 gnat. This isn't something i would purchase.

The blue light was a little jarring the first night, but I've gotten used to it. It did take about a week before it caught anything, and so far it's only caught one carpet beetle, so I can't fully speak to the overall effectiveness just yet. But seeing that it actually caught one does make me hopeful that it works. I think placement is probably going to make a big difference depending on your space. My advice would be to put it where you actually see the bugs hanging out the most, then adjust from there if needed. I may have to experiment with different outlet locations to see where it performs best. Right now, I like how quiet and low-maintenance it is, and if I start seeing it catch more over the next few days or weeks, I'd definitely buy more refills.
