All the little bugs stick right to the adhesive and you can just slide it out and toss it and slide in a new one .

We tend to get flies in our house so I positioned this by our back door as my kids go in and out a lot. Within just a few days it has picked up many flying insects, fruit flies, etc. Bugs I never see myself so it is doing extra work and helping me out. I was skeptical about how well a chemical free trap would work but the Zevo trap worked very effectively. It uses this super bright, dual spectrum blue and UV light which basically acts like a magnet for bugs. They just fly in and get stuck to the adhesive pad inside. It is completely silent, mess free and pet safe. There is no weird chemical smell and best of the all, it hides the bugs behind while it’s plugged in so you do not see them. The blue light is a bonus because it works as a nightlight in my kitchen. One downside is that the package only came with one cartridge so you do have to invest in refills but for how effective it is, the price is totally worth it.
