We keep a lot of plants in the house with our hydroponics systems which tends to draw in fruit flys for some odd reason but with this product I don't even notice them anymore! The smell is a bit overwhelming when you open the package to set up because the smell gets on your hands but it goes away after a few washes.

I rely on non toxic ways to catch pesky bugs and house flys that manage to creep in without mess and chemicals and this does the job. The system doubles as a gentle night light as well as a critter catcher and only requires a plug for power. The appearance hides the sticky trap and just looks like a simple light with a slight blue haze (blue is the bugs attracting color and draws them in). I have a few of these placed around my home specifically to the front door and back door or bugs can simply get in by just coming in and out, and then I have a few scattered around where I have all of my house plants. They are also very helpful for people that may get fruit flies in the kitchen without worrying about being around your food. Overall, when the trap is full, I simply pull out the trap with the handle that's not sticky and replace it with a new sticky trap. The unit itself does not put off any odors and my pets never bother them. I don't think I would go back to trying any other method and I've tried quite a few for catching simple household bugs that fly.

But it does look nice in the kitchen where it's at so there is that. The instructions on how to use it or clear and it was easy to do and I haven't heard any noise come from it so I don't think it makes any noises as far as value I think it's a good value for the money.

I'm so tired of seeing gnats flying around all day this has been helping so much to eliminate them. It also helps with flies and fruit flies etc. this trap is so easy to use, just pull the film off the cartridge and slide it inside the plug in. When the blue light blinks that's an indication to check the cartridge to see if it's full. I have this plugged in my kitchen because that's where I mostly see the gnats.
