It is easy to place on the wall, just plug and go. The product itself is medium size and does not smell like anything but does have a very bright blue light. I will say avoid placing it near a bedroom, as it was so bright that illuminated the entire room and I could not sleep at night and had to move it. Overall, I still recommend.

Only thing it is a bit bulky but i found a clear kitchen counter space where i was able to plug it in. Very convenient uv light that traps the little flying bugs.
