It started doing it after a month or 2 so definitely should have purchased the warranty. That's my fault and next time I purchase a tv will be getting a warranty.

In sunlit rooms the picture is clear and I no longer find myself needing to shut the blinds in order to see dark scenes in a movie. I must say that my fiancé & I are very surprised & pleased with the results.
