Time will tell how long the battery will last considering a heavy amount of foot traffic in front of my house, but so far not an issue. Would have been 5 stars if the recording subscription was less expensive.

We ended up installing this through the old ones wiring so no need to charge the doorbell. We get a lot of packages and people coming by the house so its nice to see who they are and whats being brought up. Its been great especially with unwanted people, as we can yell at them through it and scare them away from stealing packages.

It is user friendly,the app is very easy to maneuver. The picture is clear. I like that it can recognize people and things. (like a package or animal) Night vision works well.The battery seems to last a while,it tells you what percent it has or it can show you how many weeks of battery life it has left. I would recommend this to anyone&everyone. It's a pretty amazing device ,the technology is just amazing!

This Google Nest is just what I was looking for. I can be notified when someone walks up on my porch and to record anything that happens out in front of my house.

I installed this doorbell probably 10 days ago on a full charge and according to the google home app, I still have 3 weeks of battery life left. I originally was going to hardwire the power source but at this rate, the battery is fine. Saved me some time and hassle

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had for a couple weeks and I did replace a different brand with this Nest doorbell. It has great video and is responsive. It's a good doorbell but it does not come with a plug to ring inside the house. If you don't have your phone on you then you don't know if someone is at the door. You have to purchase another product. It also does not connect to Alexa. Overall it's a good product if you already have google home products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nest Doorbell (battery) has easy to follow instructions for installation and use. It shows a vertical view of the person on the porch along with a view of any packages left. Great security for those periods of time you are away or asleep.

I think it's great that they are able to make products like this to help people that work from home. I am able to see all my packages and every one that comes up to my door.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My property has a 'set in' porch which limits my field of view with where my wiring was installed for my doorbell. I very much like the convenience to be able to mount this doorbell wherever I desire. This product allows me to receive more consistent notifications of a person whereas the prior product I used often wouldn't recognize or provide notification at all. Additionally, I enjoy that the doorbell does not need a physical chime. So for new parents that would prefer a doorbell that doesn't audibly 'chime,' this is a good solution. It would be great for homes/use cases that may not have a physical chime. However, I do wish I was able to play a chime on a smart home speaker other than a Google product. The product design is attractive. I have the all-white product (Snow as the manufacturer calls it) and the body design, camera, and case are well integrated. The setup was very simple. After downloading the Google Home app, I didn't need to reference any instructions. I LOVE that the product uses a USB-C connector. The mounting bracket is required for the camera to work, so don't lose or damage that part. The product came 75% charged, and it only took 90 minutes to charge the rest of the way. I have other Nest products but hadn't used the Google Home app previously. I believe the additional attention the Google Home app receives makes that app superior to Nest and I was pleasantly surprised to be able to see my other Nest products in the Google Home app.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this Google Nest doorbell. It works perfectly and the pictures are clear day and night. If you have a pre-existing doorbell, it should only take about 10 minutes to install this camera. In my case, I've always needed an electric doorbell and when I saw this doorbell, I decided it was time to install one. I purchased a transformer that was compatible to work with the Google Nest. It took me a little time to install the doorbell and when it came time to connect the Nest, it took me 10 minutes. The camera comes with a wedge that you can mount the camera on to give a better camera angle. It comes with two wire connectors that locks the doorbell wires to the nest wires so no bare spots are showing and no chance of shorting out the wires. I connected those to the pre-existing wires and mounted the nest to its support bracket with the wedge and it was installed. The next step is to install the app and following the directions makes it a snap. I went through each step at a time and the camera was up and running. You get three hours of recording with just the basic set up. You can subscribe and get all day recording. At this point in time, I'll stick with the free 3 hours of recordings. I was away from home last night and when my packages were delivered last nigh, I was notified on my phone and I was able to see a clear picture of the delivery driver and the package. The volume is excellent on the camera. I have a cricket living on my front porch and the noise gets so loud I have to mute the camera. I'm very impressed with this camera. No more running to the door every hour when we are waiting for important packages. I will now know who's at my front door. I'm considering another one for my back door. This camera also has a battery and it charges with the doorbell transformer. It also comes with a USB-C cable to connect it charge it while you're setting up the camera. It's not recommend to run it constantly using this cable. I would definitely recommend this video doorbell to anyone. I am highly impressed.
