[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy with this Nest Doorbell. It was very easy to install since it does not require any wiring. The video quality is great and it has a good field of view. I have used some other doorbells in the past and this one seems to be just as good or better than some of the comparable ones. The only issue I have is that it is a google product and I am not big on their privacy policy. Since this is on the outside of the house, I am not as concerned.

One of the things I like best is the great picture quality. The camera angle is wide and covers a large area. Another good feature is that you can view the last 3 hour video event history for free. You can view longer history with an active subscription. A con for me is that setup was somewhat complicated and took a little longer than I anticipated. Overall, this is a great doorbell and I recommend it.

The camera quality is very clear and crisp and allows you to see not only who's at your door, but also animals that come around. The battery lasts around 4 weeks before it needs to be charged and the app tells you the battery percentage. Since it is battery powered we installed this in front of our garage so we can see when people walk down our driveway.

I don't live in a high-crime area, but you never know what can happen. Plus, with packages being delivered more than ever there's always a chance some porch pirate will show up out of the blue! This one's easy to install and I really like that it comes with a wedge-shaped piece that you can use to aim it somewhere other than straight ahead. That was smart thinking! The app is easy to use and the picture quality is very good.

After some research I decided to get a Google Nest Doorbell (Battery) which uses a charging cable for the built-in rechargeable Li-Ion battery. This means there is no hassle wiring the doorbell. Along with the Nest Doorbell it comes with a charge cable, base plate, 20” wedge, wedge screws, spacers, release tool, wall screws and anchors, and wire connector. The wire connector is for those who have existing wiring to connect to the existing doorbell chime. In order to use the doorbell you must have a Google Account, Google Home App, WiFi Network, and a mobile device. Of course, it works with Hey Google. It was simple to attach the doorbell outside next to my front door. I receive notifications on my phone, Google Assistant speakers, and displays when someone rings the doorbell or leaves a package. The doorbell has a 2 way speaker and built-in microphone giving me the ability to talk to whomever is at the front door from anywhere with my phone. This doorbell shows video 24/7 with a view where you can see from the ground all the way up to someone's head. Oh, it has great night vision. I can even go into the video history to watch something I missed. There were a few selling points that impressed me. First, this product uses 45% recycled plastic parts. Second, if someone removes my doorbell illegally Google Nest will replace it for free. Lastly, Google Nest provides exceptional security and privacy for my family. I was able to download the app on my phone and it worked the first try. The image quality is actually really good - I was impressed. However, it did stop working within 2 days. I had to go outside and troubleshoot but it is back up and running great!
