[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this recently. As someone that lives on a fairly busy road with no neighbors, this was something much needed. I get deliveries almost daily, and I'm not always within view when they arrive. This device comes neatly packaged with everything needed to install, charge, and remove it. Got my install I needed a drill, level, pen, and the 4 screws out comes with. I did end up using the extra plate piece that tilts it as it was going into a corner by my front door. Took me about 5 minutes to install the unit once I had downloaded the app to my phone. All I had to do was follow the step by step video/ picture instructions on my phone. Super easy!! Removing the device is simple with the included tool for when the rechargeable battery gets low. The device is of really good quality. The picture clarity and sound are amazing. Nice wide view. Love that I'll now be able to see when my things arrive. Being able to communicate with guests/visitors will be helpful as well. Who knows what other great stuff I'll capture.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After purchasing my new home and building it from ground up, I failed to run a power wire for a doorbell in the rear part of my home for doorbell where there is a door that gies access to the outside/inside. On the front side main door we have a nest doorbell w/camera that is hardwired and we cannot live without it. It was one of the best purchases we've ever made for home security/technology to make our home smart. Then I was able to be notified by Google about their new NEST Doorbell that is battery operated and I was beyond happy. This now saved me so much time and money from having to run a special wire for power to install their hardwired devices. The ease of use and the amazing ease of install for this product is hands down incredible. NEST has always been easy to install which really makes things easier when trying to make your home a smart home. Then you have the integration with Google Home or Amazon Alexa and it announces who is at the door for you. The device is packaged perfectly safe for transit and secure. instructions are very easy to use. All the tools needed are included in the box, just like how all NEST products come. Since this is new to me, I am not sure how long the batteries will last, but I am sure it doesn't require constant changing. What I plan on doing is having rechargeable batteries in the near future and always having a set ready to go as needed. I Highly recommend this product and all other nest products as they are extremely reliable, easy to use, easy to self-install, and their customer support/warranty are fantastic. When I compared these doorbells with camera to Ring's and have asked other family and friends about them, everyone reaches for the NEST. Keep up the great work NEST/Google!

It also comes with a month of Nest Aware, a premium subscription to expand your storage. It is a very sturdy product. The battery life is excellent and the live feed/video is clear to see and hear.

This doorbell looks so beautiful at the front of my door with it's sleek modern appearance. It's super simple to install and use. I love being able to chat with whomever is at my door without having to appear at the door. This is a great tool during this pandemic, not having to deal with direct contact at the door. This doorbell can be used on battery power only or connected to your existing doorbell wiring. I love that I can take this doorbell with me, when I choose to move to another location. It's very portable. The video quality is excellent with HD video and 24/7 surveillance. I just love all of the many features that this doorbell provides. It looks so nice and I feel much more secure in my home or while away. Excellent product, Google!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this Google Nest doorbell. It works perfectly and the pictures are clear day and night. If you have a pre-existing doorbell, it should only take about 10 minutes to install this camera. In my case, I've always needed an electric doorbell and when I saw this doorbell, I decided it was time to install one. I purchased a transformer that was compatible to work with the Google Nest. It took me a little time to install the doorbell and when it came time to connect the Nest, it took me 10 minutes. The camera comes with a wedge that you can mount the camera on to give a better camera angle. It comes with two wire connectors that locks the doorbell wires to the nest wires so no bare spots are showing and no chance of shorting out the wires. I connected those to the pre-existing wires and mounted the nest to its support bracket with the wedge and it was installed. The next step is to install the app and following the directions makes it a snap. I went through each step at a time and the camera was up and running. You get three hours of recording with just the basic set up. You can subscribe and get all day recording. At this point in time, I'll stick with the free 3 hours of recordings. I was away from home last night and when my packages were delivered last nigh, I was notified on my phone and I was able to see a clear picture of the delivery driver and the package. The volume is excellent on the camera. I have a cricket living on my front porch and the noise gets so loud I have to mute the camera. I'm very impressed with this camera. No more running to the door every hour when we are waiting for important packages. I will now know who's at my front door. I'm considering another one for my back door. This camera also has a battery and it charges with the doorbell transformer. It also comes with a USB-C cable to connect it charge it while you're setting up the camera. It's not recommend to run it constantly using this cable. I would definitely recommend this video doorbell to anyone. I am highly impressed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this Nest Doorbell battery set-up to use on my front door - my house does not have a wired door bell system. I live on a busy street so I had to chose the angle of the camera in a way as to not pick up all of the traffic - but still pick up people or deliveries that come to my door. The Nest Doorbell works great - the battery life and usage seem good so far but I haven't had it installed very long. The camera quality is good and the system was easy to set up with my phone.

Time will tell how long the battery will last considering a heavy amount of foot traffic in front of my house, but so far not an issue. Would have been 5 stars if the recording subscription was less expensive.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hooked up the Google Nest (Battery) this weekend. Simple video instructions you don't have to be terribly tech smart also found a number of sites on YouTube. I hardwired connected mine, so I not only see through the camera, but my home chimes go off when somebody rings. I recommend using the “wedge”mounting plate, it seems to provide a better angle of the stairs and walkway. It would be nice to have more video time…. I think they give you 3 hours without a subscription.
