Setup was fairly easy and I'm really appreciating being able to see who is at my door even when I'm not home and since I have quite a few packages delivered I like knowing when they get there. Video and sound are good quality and the look is sleek with a slim design. Highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nest puts out innovative, useful products, and this Battery Doorbell is certainly worthy of the Nest name. Easy to install, simple to use, and with a modern, reserved style, it's fun to look at. I am very happy with this Nest Doorbell, and I'm excited to add other devices to my Nest family. Because it is battery powered, it will work with any home…though I installed it wired. The installation took me 17 minutes from the removal of my old doorbell, to flipping the breaker back on and giving the new Nest Doorbell a test ring. Because I had the Google Home app already, I was ready to go on the software end. Scanning the bar code on the doorbell led me to a detail install guide that insures you can't mess it up. I used the included wedge that turns the doorbell 45 degrees as my doorbell is on an adjacent wall from my door. I love the included (and pictured) wire connector, as the wire from my wall were pretty short and I would've had trouble stretching them around terminals and tightening screws. The app is simple to use, alerting me when the doorbell is pressed, whether I'm home or away. The speaker is loud and clear, so you can communicate to guests or delivery men and women. The field of vision is amply wide, and very clear. You get 3 free hours of saved memory, which during the day is obviously enough. Anything that happens overnight though, could be a problem if you wait until the morning to check, as it could've easily happened before your included memory window. It's probably a good idea to spring for a paid package, which I did, as the subscriptions are very reasonable. I'm am very impressed with this Nest Doorbell…I love the way it looks and functions. And because it is so well made, I anticipate it lasting a very long time. Highly recommend!

It is so awesome to see who is at my door when I'm not even home! And I haven't had it happen to me personally but I would think this would help with porch pirates too! Good to have with Christmas coming up!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love the design, it looks super minimal and clean, unlike most competitors with large branding. Love that it's also battery powered, so I don't have to figure out complicated wiring. Just note that if you go battery, you will need to link it with some Google/Nest speakers indoors. Some things that I wish were different: - Wish the video was horizontal orientation instead of vertical - The Google Home app is the only way to access this device, it doesn't function with the Nest app at all, despite it being a Nest doorbell. Really odd having to use a different app for Nest thermostat and for this Nest doorbell.

I really love the looks of this doorbell. It is big but it is slim and sleek. It adds a nice improvement and updated look to your home. The installation was very easy. You can do battery or wired. We went with the battery right now as we are remodeling the home and maybe go with wiring. This doorbell does have 3 hours of cloud storage for free without the subscribe to nest aware. To have 30 and 60 days of video event history and facial recognition you will need to pay for the subscription. The app you need on your phone is the google home app. The Google Nest doorbell is a really great quality. It is 960 x 1280 resolution with HDR. It has a 145- degree field of view. Which allows you to have a view from head to toe. I got to say at night this doorbell still provides a very clear video. Also, the google nest picks up exceptionally well on sound. It is crystal clear with no loss of audio. You also get notifications. You can customize what notification you want to see and this google nest picks up everything, cars driving by, animals, people, and packages. So I can turn off the vehicle notifications. Our road is busy so it triggers it a lot. Overall this is an amazing doorbell. It will leave you feeling safe in your home. You will feel safe with packages coming to your door. Another awesome thing I love is the talk and listen to visitors at my door. If I am away from home or if I am stuck inside with an illness. Overall this is a must-have doorbell to have!

This doorbell looks so beautiful at the front of my door with it's sleek modern appearance. It's super simple to install and use. I love being able to chat with whomever is at my door without having to appear at the door. This is a great tool during this pandemic, not having to deal with direct contact at the door. This doorbell can be used on battery power only or connected to your existing doorbell wiring. I love that I can take this doorbell with me, when I choose to move to another location. It's very portable. The video quality is excellent with HD video and 24/7 surveillance. I just love all of the many features that this doorbell provides. It looks so nice and I feel much more secure in my home or while away. Excellent product, Google!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking to upgrade the builder installed doorbell and this Nest doorbell had everything that I was looking for. Although this is battery powered, I decided to make it hard wired, so that I do not have to charge the battery all the time. Since it required some electrical work, I decided to get an electrician to install it for me. We could not use the same place where the old doorbell was installed since the height where the previous one was installed was less and it did not make sense to install a camera doorbell at that height. However, the electrician took care of that and wired it to existing chime. I am finding this doorbell very helpful. I like the idea that I can turn off the chime when I do not want it to ring but the person ringing the doorbell does not know about that. The notifications are very helpful. Overall I think this was a nice upgrade to my old doorbell.

Provides so much security and peace of mind of what is going on when we aren't home. Also allows us to skip the door when cold callers arise. Easy to install and setup, just a matter of an hour or two. Clarity of the camera is awesome as well! Highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to try the nest doorbell out. I have another camera system set up, but I wanted another doorbell camera for my back door (which gets used more then front door) I do like the nest doorbell for the ease of setting it up. It has a great camera quality, day and night vision is nice and clear! What I don't like about it is it doesn't have a huge range of view on it. While it does show the step area and is decent view range, it isn't quite as large a view as I would have liked. Another issue I am having is. It doesn't send alerts to my phone when someone is there. So I'm not sure if I am just not finding the proper setting for that or if it just isn't set to send alerts when someone is in the range of motion for it.
