I am old enough to remember when ballpoint pens were a novelty. They have long since become ubiquitous. So much so that there are good ones, mediocre ones, and terrible ones. Those that don't write right away, skip, or end up dry on brief storage seem to be the norm, crowding all the while the vast majority of mediocre ballpoints. The Pilot G2 Retractable Roller Ball Gel Pens on the other hand are a joy compared to your average run of the mill pen. They feature an ergonomic grip, which results in a good feel in the hand and contributes to the fine control of the writing tip. But the real feature that puts this pen above the masses of so-so pens is that they have a smooth ball and instant ink flow for uniform, fine lines even if the pens have been in storage. All of this means that I seek out these pens and accept no substitutes, even if I have to pay a wee bit more for I use one of them multiple time per day. Unless dropped with the point exposed (a no-no for any ballpoint), these pens are the best.

These are my favorite pens primarily because they write so easily and with arthritic hands, it is a welcomed instrument.

Between carpal tunnel and arthritis, handling writing instruments can be tough. These pens address all issues — non-slip contoured grip, wide grip but not overly, and the gel ink is smooth as silk. Bonus is the clicker vs cap (nothing to lose). My office supplies pens....these are worth the out of pocket to keep on hand at all times. BTW... colors are equally outstanding.....no clumpy/glumpy ink!

Nice gel pens. Pens are comfortable, the ink flows very smooth, and the mechanics of the pen works very well. I would not hesitate recommending this item.

I love these pens because they last a long time, I like the extra sharp, and I always buy about 20 year per year because they’re such great pens and they’ve reasonably priced

The last batch we bought became dry and wrote "scratchy" although kept in a Ziploc bag and stored inside a desk drawer. Hope this purchase lasts longer

Been using these pens in my professional office for years and both staff and patients have commented about the decrease in apparent quality. The ink is much less fluid and drags onto the paper. Now feels more like a ball point pen. Not as happy with the purchase as in years past.

These are my favorite pens, and I have been writing with them for years. But this is the first time that I have purchased them from Sam's, and I will never purchase them again from Sam's. I have been writing with them for years and never have I had a problem with them. But every pen that I have taken out to use has been leaking starting the first or second day of removing from the package.

In a recent flyer i saw that the Pilot G2 were on sale so i purched the blue pack. I didn't realize until i got home that i was charged regular price so wadteing time and money i went back to Sam's and returned the pens. I then went and checked the sign once again. Well the pens WERE on sale $3 less so i went and repurchased them and got the sale price. I'm not sure WHY first time it charged regular price.
