I read 100's of on-line reviews of various funnel cake batter mixes before settling on the Gold Medal Pennsylvania Dutch mix. It was rated highest in quality & taste by most vendors. Well worth paying a little more for. After trying it myself.. I have to agree. It tastes great. Fries quickly to a golden brown. And doesn't absorb oil like other brands do. My case of six 5 pound bags arrived well packed and undamaged. I weighed each bag on my postal scales. They each weighed exactly 5.2 pounds. So you get what you paid for. I definitely recommend this product. For a little extra taste you can add a little bit of vanilla or rum flavoring. Or mix some cinnamon in the batter.

I own a Funnel cake Concession Trailer / Licensed Mobile kitchen. I purchased from a retired pilot and he passed on all his trade secrets and one was, " purchase Pennsylvania Dutch Mix from Sam's club." for the best value except for the shipping costs, try to get shipped to your Sam's Club. I have followed his advice and I'm communicating with Sam's 52nd & Wadsworth Blvd., Arvada, Co. Mix is the very best!

Package was delivered by FedEx... Lazy driver left package at end of the driveway instead of delivering to the house. A rainstorm occurred and package was soaked resulting in the loss of most of the product. Use UPS in the future, they will deliver to the home not dumping your order at the end of the driveway next to the road.

IMO Pennsylvania Dutch (item number 5100) is the best mix for true funnel cakes. This is from over thirty yrs. experience and having tried many different mixes.

Perfect mix for funnel cake. I add two ingredients to this mix two make it a show stopper. Vanilla and sugar...trust it...Nothing is better. Use your basic Fry Daddy cause the ring design on it is perfect and you’re got yourself the perfect fundraiser at youth sporting events during the fall season.

This product mixes well and cooks well. We add some vanilla to the batter. Will continue to order.

Our club has used Pennsylvania Dutch for funnel cake fund raisers for nine years. It has proven to be a superior batter mix.

This product is a great quality and has a great taste that keeps our customers coming back for more.

My rating is not for the product that I ordered. 5100 which is the best. I received a much less quality mix.

I had to order these items three times and finally, I’m still waiting on a refund because they come damage from FedEx
