I purchased my first set of Michelin tires 20 years ago, and was so impressed I haven't considered any other tires since! The current tires on my truck have in excess of 50,000 miles and still look like they have close to 50% tread left and ride and handle as good as they ever did. Still the best tires money can buy!!

Bought a set of these Oct 2018 for my 2015 Ram 2500 to replace the Firestone OE tires at 25784 miles. DOT codes B71500AX0218,0318,5017,&5017. OK on backroads which is most of use, but very bad vibration at highway speeds 70-80mph. Checked alignment and checked for bent wheel - all ok. Rebalanced a month later at 27552 miles. Same problem. Rebalanced and switched Front to Rear at 28571 miles - problem almost completely cured. Rotated by dealer at 35015 miles - problem back. Rebalanced and switched front to rear at 36693 miles and again problem improved to acceptable level. Dealer rotated again at 40488 miles and problem on Interstates back as bad as ever. Rebalanced and swapped front to rear again and again acceptable at 42991 miles. Put 100k miles on F250 with previous design and never had a problem. Put 260k miles on 4 sets of Michelins on 2006 Toyota Avalon - no problem. Put 100k so far on Michelins on 2015 Avalon and 45k on 2019 Sequoia - again no problem - so it has to be something in at least one of the Defender LTX tires most likely one of the ones currently on rear. Definitely not what I expect from Michelin - Currently 45k miles on truck. Trying to figure out where to go next. Not happy with Defenders.

I have bought the Defender LTX MS tires for 3 separate vehicles that I have owned over the last three years and folks I can tell you, this specific Michelin is nothing short of a nightmare for me and my family. If or when you do find a good set of four, the ride quality is nothing short of phenomenal, but be warned, you might have to go through 12 of these tires to find four that is not defective. The reason why I keep buying this model is the fact that when you do find a good set, they are the most comfortable and with extremely low noise, because as good as the other models of Michelin tires are, most of them are extremely noisy. I have used countless other models of Michelin tires and kind of gave up on them due the high levels of noise, but other than high noise level, they were excellent all round tires. Michelin really need to spend more time in scrutinizing their quality because which ever factory they are using to make this specific model, they are way off the mark. The vibration from the defective ones are so bad that there are times when driving down the highway that I look over at other drivers to see their reaction if they can see my vehicle shaking. Due the vibration issues, I have even been trying to find this exact model tire in the European market, so I could have them ship here to me in the USA, because I was told the Michelin tires that are made in France are of higher quality. Unfortunately, they don’t seem to have this in Europe. Michelin should be ashamed to put out this poor quality tire with their name on it.

I have purchased (2) sets of LTX MS ( l set on a 1990 Jeep cherokee laredo, and on a 1997 grand cherokee laredo. Both sets have been excellent, with the set on 1997 jeep still with more than half the tread after 40,000 miles. I intended on getting these for my wife's 2007 jeep grand cherokee laredo, but unfortunately I couldn't afford them at the time. Also, the tires on the 1997 have been on for 8 years. I have recommended these tires to several of my friends, and I know least three have purchased the LTX MS. These tires are outstanding for all season, long mileage, and quite/smooth ride.

I replaced the OEM tires on my suburban with a set of Michelin LTX. The LTX tires were more expensive than a set of OEM tires, but the ride quality and lack of road noise made a huge difference in the vehicle. This set of Tires accumulated about 85,000 trouble free, quiet miles before being replaced. I did not notice a significant improvement in traction or an increase in mileage using these all season tires in either snow, rain or mud conditions. Tire wear was excellent and uniform over the life of the tire. If you are looking for a good all season long lasting tire that is quiet and reliable, look at a set of the Michelin LTX.

LTX M\S ON MY 2002 CHEVROLET SUBURBAN AND GOT 80,000 MILES ON THEM. A DIFFERENT SET OF MICHELIN TIRES AND ONLY GOT 70,000 MILES ON THEM. WENT BACK TO LTX M/S 2. I NOW HAVE 167,000 MILES ON THE SUBURBAN AND EXPECT TO GET 80,000 ON THIS SET OF LTX M/S. THIS TIRE LASTS AND RIDES GREAT!!!!!

Nothing drives, rides, or last like Michelin. I have been buying Michelin tires forever. I travel the SE and have found after I wear out a set of Michelins 3 times its time to replace the truck. 80 - 90 k miles per set. You pay for them but the value is there compared to other tires plus you can't beat the ride with a stick!

If you need to buy tires for your SUV or truck, go ahead and buy the best. The LTX M/S is absolutely the finest SUV tire out there. They will outlast any competitors tire hands down. Ride quality is phenominal. The few extra bucks you spent on the LTX M/S tires will be insignificant 5 years down the road. Get the best the first time. I'll never buy any other brand SUV tire.

These are the worst tires I have ever owned. I have another set on my Tacoma which I bought a couple of year’s ago. Those were the best tire I have owned. This new version vibrates and shakes horrible between 65-75 miles sn hour. I had them rebalanced which did nothing. Regret the day I bought these. I was always a Michelin guy but I am rethinking that now.

Sometimes it takes awhile to realize there are products that paying alittle extra for up front return far greater value AND performance over the long term. Michelin LTX M/S - LTX M/S2 tires examplify that truth. After several sets of supposedly "quality" 6-ply tires for our Suburban used to pull our Airstream trailer and having a tread separate on the last set while towing at 55 mph on a very not day in northern California, we installed Michelin LTX M/S tires and have nothing but good things to say. First the Michelin tires DO NOT LOSS AIR PRESSURE between our trips like the previous "quality" tires did. Second the Michelin tires are more round AND required minimum wheel weights to balance. Thus the ride quality is far superior to the previous "quality" tires. Third even running the same 75 or 80 psi as done previousily with the other "quality" tires in the rears on the Suburban, the stability of the Michelin's is far superior. Bottom line, I have recommended Michelin to all that will listen in our Airstream group and many are making the switch as I did. FYI we recently purchased an Yukon XL to replace the aged Suburban with over 200,000 miles and had the new LTX M/S2's installed.
