Functional and require no batteries. This is our second one because the lifting mechanism stopped working our first (the plastic that lifts it cracked - i am sure it is fixable. Someone probably had something heavuly on lid when using foot pedal causing it to break.

We love our new trash can. Great size. Nice shape and beautiful color. We have the red, it is more of an auburn but really pretty. I didn’t want another stainless steel color and the color options are nice to tie into your kitchen. 13 gallon bags fit well with no issues. Nice open and close. No issues so far.

I knew the moment I saw this stainless steel trash can, I had to purchase it to match my stainless steel appliances. Having the liner inside is a plus as you can take out the liner if need be to clean it. I also love that my 13 gallon trash bags are a perfect fit. The foot pedal is very convenient and I love the auto hydraulic like closure function. This trash can is stylus and functional.

The kitchen trash can is wonderful. I love the foot pedal and that the liner comes out. I've only had it for a couple of weeks and I absolutely love it. It is easy to keep clean and in today's kitchen that is a plus. I needed a can that would save space as my kitchen and kitchenette are small. Its rectangle shape provided me with the ability to put in an unobtrusive spot in my workspace and not interfere with my daily tasks taking place. I would recommend this Tramontina product to anyone.

It looks like someone had used the trashcan before. It had no plastic to take off as indicated in the directions. There was also some grime on it. Also, the box did not arrive in the greatest shape. Lastly, there was no paperwork in the box. It's disappointing that Sam's is not monitoring returned items.

Very nice can. The cooper color is on point. Love how the can has a soft automatic close so that it won't slam shut. Best part you can't see the trash bag hanging on the outside, you can tuck it inside. Nice and deep, seems a little bit larger than 30 gal. So far good product and got on sale!

This is the third Tramontina trash can that I have purchased for my household and that of two of my children. We have been very pleased with it and we have had ours for several years. It is easy opening with the step on pedal. Would recommend it strongly.

We use this trash can in the kitchen. Opening the lid with the foot pedal is really handy in the kitchen since there are a lot of times when you have both hands full and you need to dump something into the can. The previous can we had utilized a flip lid that constantly had to be cleaned due to food falling on top of it.

great size. great color. quiet close. This can is everything I need it to be. Why did I wait so LONG to replace my nearly 16-year-old kitchen trash can? I'm glad I ordered online as several color choices were available rather than in-store. Can arrived in perfect condition.

It’s a nice trash can. The only issues that I have with it is the banging sound that it makes upon closing and it keeps sliding all over the place. I think if it had some kind of rubber seal instead of the hard plastic on the bottom, that would keep it in place.
