Tramontina 13-Gallon Step Trash Can, Assorted Colors

I purchased two of these (one for recycle, one for waste) in stainless a few years ago and have been very satisfied with them.

A good buy

When we’d had this about a year, the foot pedal broke. The lid also started rusting on the inside. Very disappointing.

Foot pedal broke and lid is rusting

It was a great trash can for 3 years. The plastic pedal broke and is now useless. A $75 trash can should last longer than 3 years in my opinion.

Cheap foot pedal

Arrived with a big dent on the top, didn't bother returning because I live far away to drive to store.

really nice and works great, only complaint the top of trash can has a long scratch mark .I'm sure it was due to shipping from warehouse.

I purchased this trash can twice having the same results: a rusty and malfunctioning trash can in less than a year.

Bad Quality Trash Can

This a very nice trash can, except there is no way to keep the can open without keeping your foot on the foot peddle.

Very nice with one exception

Overall it's sturdy and the design is good but the lid started rusting. As you can notice, it is not stainless steel.

It's a nice garbage can.  I guess time will tell, but the foot pedal/lid mechanism seems to be very sturdily built.

It’s a nice looking garbage can however, the lid cannot stay up. If you are cooking, and you need to leave the lid up The lid automatically closes every time you step on the bar on the bottom. We currently own a simply human can in the lid, will stay up if you lift it. So we will be returning this, and buying another simply human.

This garbage can works like a dream. Its wide, rectangular opening ensures that things get in without making a mess. It holds 13 gallon kitchen bags, and has a very modern, sleek design. I love mine, and it's metallic red. They also have other color finishes.
