This was our first hands-free trash can. It sits at the end of a counter in our kitchen so we wanted something that would look nice and be easy to use ... and it fit the bill. It was the most expensive trash can we've ever purchased by far, but we thought we would be able to use it for a long time. After about 5 years, though, the plastic lever piece weakened and then snapped. Sadly, it does not look to be repairable.

This is a great looking can and I loved it but after a few months it broke. The regular use of the the pedal broke the plastic piece that it is attached to and the lid could no longer be opened by it. Also, not repairable. We tried to use a plastic bonding material but that too broke loose after a few days. Now I have to buy another can. Not happy.

I bought this one as a gift, however have had the same one for 3 years now. The only thing I have to complain about is the inside of the lid has started to rust. Otherwise it’s solidly made, the lid-opening mechanism has held up well and the inner plastic trash receptacle is solid and well made. The holes in the bottom of it make it easy for the trash bag to completely open without having to “burp” the air out.

The feature I least enjoy is the small opening under the lid that allows trash to collect. I fold and stuff a plastic shopping bag in space to keep from having to clean out debris from trash that misses the bag. Recently, a loud pop occurred, when using foot lever, which resulted in lid slamming trash away. The foot lever is useless. So disappointed, color matched my black stainless steel appliances.

You wouldn't think it would be so hard to find a plain black rectangular trash can for a reasonable price! We have had the “old model” of this trash can for about 3 years, and we wanted something identical for side by side trash and recycling. This model is the exact same dimensions with just a slight difference in brand logo display, which doesn't matter to us. We love the soft closure lid and the step pedal to open is still fully functional on our old one, so I anticipate the same from the new!

Received and the lid was dented but the box was perfectly fine so had to get packed liked that

The trashcan had a couple of dents on it. We returned it for a refund.

I love my purchase. It avcents my kitchen well.
