[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I never put much thought into the quality of a pencil until I started using Ticonderoga. Suddenly, I'm comparing every pencil in my arsenal - which, as a teacher, is a pretty big thing. These pencils come pre-sharpened, which is always a plus in my book. They're also very comfortable to hold, the graphite writes smoothly and the pencil erases all errors easily. Even my son has started looking to make sure he picks up the Ticonderoga pencils for his writing assignments. We are not very brand-loyal in this household, but I have definitely given exception for these pencils. They truly do make a difference.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are not the same Ticonderoga pencils I used when I was a kid. They used to be a high-quality pencil. I hadn't used the brand in years and I was looking forward to using them again. They do not sharpen well, the lead breaks and the wood is rough--like feels like you might get a splinter rough. My daughter writes A LOT so I asked her opinion as well and the verdict was the same. I wish the quality was the same as it used to be!

These Ticonderoga #2 Sharpened 12 Count American Wood Pencils are a great choice for your student. They come pre-sharpened and last a long time. The erasers on the end are strong and don't snap off like a lot of other types. The pencil is perfect for doing homework and taking tests at school. I always keep some of these around the house. Great value as well!

They also write very smoothly and neatly. The eraser on the end erases the mistakes nicely as well. No complaints, just an all around good pencil.

When you do need to sharpen them, they are east to sharpen and the tip does not break. They write smooth and consistent in color. The eraser erasers cleanly with no smudging. Will purchase this pencil again.

The only brand I'll ever buy! Please don't be sucked into cheaper quality pencils simply for the colors. Your kid will spend a lot of time breaking lead, sharpening and disrupting learning. Instead, get this brand! Always smooth writing. Strong lead. Lead is perfectly down the center, so no breaking while sharpening!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The pencils are pre-sharpened, they look like a standard pencil. They write nicely, and it gives off a nice black color. They are fairly comfortable to hold in hand, and seem to last a long time after many times of being sharpened. The only downside is the strange smell they had, it was a really weird smell.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like that they were already sharpened although some of hem broke. They write and glide across the paper nicely. They're #2 so they can be used in school which is awesome. They are a comfortable size and nice and easy to hold.

I had heard of them, but hadn't bought them because they do cost more. These are great! Very high quality pencil, made of cedar wood so they smell amazing. Easy to sharpen, they don't constantly break while trying to get a point. The eraser on these is also a much better quality than cheaper pencils. It doesn't smudge the paper. Definitely worth the additional cost, the quality is SO much better.
