The tires are quiet and give a good ride. However, after 4.5 yrs and 38K miles, two of them are dry rotting and the tread is almost gone off of the other two. I sliced one open around some road construction so I am going to buy another set and see if this was just a fluke. I have had success with past Michelin tires, my last set lasted 80k miles.

These tires are used on an AWD Vehicle year round. There is essentially no road noise from the tires and they just wear and wear and wear with no unusual problems having been encountered. Most trouble free tires I've owned. So good that I use Michelin Tires on three (3) vehicles. Two SUV's and one (1) full Size Passenger Car. This is my 2nd set of Defender LTX M/S tires for my 2008 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab. I'm surprised to read that the latest reviews all comment about the road noise! One of the reasons I love these tires is because they are very quite!!! I've never had any road noise with either set of tires. I used to work out of state and had to make a 350 mile round trip each week. My first set held up so well that I basically had to replace them due to dry rot from age and not from wear. They work well in the rain and don't hydroplane easily.

For the second time one of my tires has split on the sidewall. The last time Michelin said my husband must have run over something. Now the second tire has also split on the sidewall. Don't know how these got all of these good reviews. We will never buy another Michelin since they seem to be junk!

I debated if I should spend the extra money on Michelin tires for my older Ford Expedition but it's my go to vehicle for trips and inclement weather and only has 45 thousand miles on it. It was worth it---tires give a very smooth and quiet ride and are great in rain. This winter I will put them to the test in the snow and ice on a ski trip.

My new truck came with Michelin tires when I bought it.. I was impressed by how long they lasted (almost 72000 miles. I probably could have gone more miles but decided with the traveling I do it was time. These tires are definitely "tread worthy" and that is why I just bought another set.

I have own so many tires and yet nothing like Michelin tires. My tires is right now @72000miles on it and tread looks like a new. Rotating every 5000miles most important to keep your tired last long but still the tires is #1 on my list now. I would never buy any other tires. Most other tires I own never lasted that mileage said. I wold have replaced once already and even I thought Michelin was expensive, it pays itself as I'm saving the money after all. I convinced my girlfriend to get one too and she has not complain. That has to say something. I did right and Michelin done right. I don't think you will sorry for spending extra money upfront...

I used buy the older LTX;s what great smooth riding and handling tire and mileage had them on 4 vehicles...now a set of these new LTX Defenders on my 2014 Pro4x Xterra, man these tires RIDE HARD and handing not great at all 15000 miles on them sidewalls are to stiff from on road driving..next time I need tire I"m going back to the BF GOODRICH that they came from the factory new.

Being in the car business for nearly thirty years there is no tire for a light truck like a Michelin. I would have customers request Michelin tires on their new trucks. Ride, wear, and style are just a few reasons for purchasing. Once you own a set of Michelin's you'll never settle for less

I drive 80k to 90k a year towing/hauling from CA, to NV. in a company 3/4 ton truck. Michelin LTX tires gave me handling/braking whenever called upon, loaded or unloaded, If I was in the desert at 112 degree or 90 degree Ca. I felt secure driving on Michelen!
