I had a vibration in my van. I tried everything to fix it. I even had the drivetrain balanced. I bought a set of Michelin tires and the vibration was gone. Later I found out you had to replace the rear end in the van. But, I didn't have to because of Michelin

Great Tire

I have had several sets of Michelins over the years and they have all been good tires, but these Defender LTX M/S are the best so far. I ran the PSI up to 40 -it was set at 32 from the installer and that made a big difference. I have not used them in snow yet but took a couple 800 miles trips and hit a lot of rain and sun at speed. These tires make my truck feel like a train- glued to the road...hit 1 to 2 inch pools of water on the interstate and they sliced right through it. Very comfortable ride and no excess noise. The only downside is I think I lost a MPG or two on the highway - but these are for a truck, if you want MPG your driving the wrong vehicle. Buy these tires you will not be sorry.

Thanks so much for the kind words A Guy, we appreciate your loyalty! In reference to your MPG, new tires having full tread depth will have more grip and rolling resistance in comparison to worn tires. As the new tires wear, the rolling resistance decreases. Over the life of the tires, all things being equal, the fuel efficiency should improve.

Light Truck Tires - LTX

This is my third set of LTX M/S tires on my 3/4 ton truck and at 286,000 I keep telling myself this will be my last set. These LTX tires are superb for for highway as well as the many offroad conditions I get myself into. I put lots of highway miles and rely on a smooth ride from my LTX'es. If my truck will make it to 340,000, I will most definitely put another set of LTX tires on it.

Great Tires

About 18 years ago I purchased my first set of Michelin LTX M/S tires for my Jeep Cherokee and was pleasantly surprised to find they were the best tires I ever owned. Great traction wet/dry & on/off road, quiet ride, and best of all long mileage. After purchasing a GMC Yukon I wasn't happy with the factory installed tires. They were noisy, poor traction off road and wore out quickly. After installing a set of Michelin LTX M/S I am very happy again. Based on my experience with tires I will only purchase and recommend Michelin tires.

Excessive road noise

I bought these tires in late November 2019 for my 2017 GMC Sierra Denali and have put roughly 4,000 miles on them. I have always been a Michelin fan and have several different Michelin tires on different vehicles throughout the years. I am, however, extremely disappointed in this set of tires due to the excessive road noise. Road noise seems to be magnified when taking corners or bends in the road.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, WSR. We would recommend getting a tire inspection at an authorized dealer. Please have the dealer contact us at 866-866-6605 to report their findings.

Best Ride and Safe Tires

I was doing an oil change on my 2004 Tundra and asked my wife to look at the previous receipt for the last set of these same tires. She said 80,000 miles and ten years ago. although the tread was still good, I had noticed some steering wheel wabble at low speed and a slight pull to the left and had two shops check the alignment on my 120K miles Tundra. They both said your alignment is fine, so I drove it for a year or so trying rotation without a cure. I told her "These tires are good, but Old and hard". I put on this fresh set and Wala! no more vibration and no pull. Man this thing rides like the Tundra should. I know these tires are $$ but worth it to me. By the way I got 100,000 miles on the same Michelin Defenders on my Honda CRV.

I have a very heavy (9500 pounds) one-ton van converted to a self-contained RV, and with over a ton on each corner, blowouts are something I wanted to avoid. These tires have done their job for the last five years in a commendable fashion. In addition to no problems with them, the fuel economy, smoothness, and braking are so good that I have no complaints at all. I'm replacing them with another set after 75,000 blessedly uneventful miles.

My Special Cargo

My special cargo is really a very precious passenger. She is my granddaughter. I take her anywhere when her parents cannot leave work during the week, whether it's weekday church school or a scheduled appointment with the peditrician. Making time for a milkshake is just an extra stop. I have to trust the tires on my vehicle. I have had Michelin tires on all my cars since 1985. I know they're dependable in all kinds of weather and for sudden braking. Now I have another grandaughter; so they're two good reasons I want Michelin tires on "Grammy's car".

The best truck tire on the market

I have owned several sets of these tires on various trucks and suv's. I can say that they are absolutely the best truck tire on the market. I consistently get 70-90k miles out of each set. Low noise and great handling. I could not ask for a better tire. I am now using a LTX2 set. I hope they are just as good or better than the original.

Cheapest Tire for your Money

I did not particularily like using that title but it is true. If you take the total miles you will get from a set of Michelins and divide by the cost it is the cheapest tire per mile on the market. My last set I got 120k on my Ford F150, I could have easily put on 2-3 sets of competitor brands of tires. Besides that these tires handle real well and are excellent in the Rain. It makes you feel real safe when running these Michelin LTX M/S. How could I ever buy another set of tires without considering Michelins for myself or family. I have told many a friend about my experience with Michelin Tires and the sets I have purchased thru the years, which haven't been many? I may be your best salesman.
