I bought these tires less than a year ago, I have put about 4,000 miles on them and I really dislike them. There is no smooth ride and they are so noisy it's frustrating. I was told by the tire shop to give them some time since they are new but there has been zero change. I don't even like driving my vehicle anymore because of the tires. I really wish I could say otherwise but unfortunately aside from the warranty I would never recommend these to anyone.

After 20 years of buying Michelins, 1st time disappointed, very disappointed. With 20K of miles over 2 years, you won't want to drive these in wet or snow. Normal inflation checks & rotation was done. It was just amazing to me the dramatic decline in performance after 20,000 miles. Didn't notice any above average road noise & the Honda Element is a gas hog for a 4cylinder engine & 5-speed, so didn't notice gas mileage improvements or decline.

In over 55 years of driving, I have owned at least 25 cars. I have driven in tough road conditions, but was never as confident as I am now with the LTX M/S Michelins on my 4-Runner. The road noise is very low, the ride is smooth, and my gas mileage went up by 2 mpg, or 10%! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these tires to anyone.

Superior difference in handling when on the road and at high speeds. Very smooth and better handling than the replaced Michelin tires that came from the factory. They look good and a bit more aggressive. So far very pleased with the tires and extremely happy with Discount Tires in Sioux Falls, SD. Our rep, Todd, went way out of his way to help us with the cost of our tires.

I have 45K miles on these tires and they are great tires. They ride quite and I feel safe with them in bad weather. They have been thru heavy rain, snow, ice and handle well. The tread wear is even and I keep tabs on the tire pressure. I know I need to replace soon and will probably get the same ones. Hoping the prices come down...

These make my 2004 explorer more stable, quieter, and overall a much smoother ride. It literally changed the way the entire ride feels. It's not as splashy (sways less also) and definitely feels much more solid, but not firm or harsh. Wet weather is no problem and it handles snow well also. Would have bought M/S 2's but they were not available in size I needed fort limited edition explorer.

Vacation this year was to Florida and as we were driving through Georgia we encountered a series of very heavy rain storms. the rain was heavy enough to slow traffic to 30 miles and below on I-75. when we got to our destination for that night the second vehicle that we were traveling with was remarking about all the hydroplaning that they had experienced. we were surprised because we had not experienced any even though there were times there was water on the highway. I attribute this to my Michelin tires and I am glad that they always keep me and my family safe.

I've had the LTX AT 2, and the LTX M/S2 on my last two vehicles and just replaced a set of M/S2s with the new Defender LTX M/S. Very nice ride on my Tahoe, two things like like better over the M/S2, the tread is actually a little deeper which will help since I live in snow country in the winter. Also the ride seems better along with less road noise. Overall I think Michelin hit a home run with these. one Awesome tire and will recommend to anyone that asks!

I have been buying Michelin tires for over 45 years. This is the set has lasted 3 years and perform as good as the first day. The set before this lasted over 9 years. They just don't wear out. If you keep them rotated and balanced and alinement you will get long tread life from them. I love the performance in both on and off the road because I drive up to the ranch on dirt and gravel roads. These tires are the best tire on the market today and are the best I have ever owned. They are smooth and quiet riding on the highway. Don't be fooled by moucho looking brands these tires will out perform any other brand hands down you can take my word on that. I have had very heavy loads in my truck and they handle them very well. These are the best tires made in the world.

Michelin Defender Tires They make great affordable tires, and safety is a must on the mountain in the wintertime. Great performance, smooth riding, quiet tires, very comfortable ride. Installation was a bit pricey,I need 5 new ones on my SUV now. Yes,I recommend these tires.
