Great melting low fat cheese is great for my quesadillas, tacos or just melting over anything. The block is huge. I’ll have to try and freeze some to make it last a while for me.

The cheese is delicious, a bit like mozzarella, I cut it into 10 pieces and store it in the freezer so I have enough for a long time and it doesn't go bad

We have been looking for Asadero cheese for ages, and finally found it in one location...Sam's Club! I hope they will continue to carry it. Takes a while to go through 5 puonds (LOL) but we hope we can continue to find/buy it here. Absolutely delicious! We will be greatly disapppointed if they no longer carry it when we need it again (in about 2 weeks, probably :o)

Set aside the Monterey Jack and use this instead. Smooth and creamy, like mozzarella, but with some fantastic very pleasant subtle flavor, with just a hint of tang. Not an overpowering flavor, but not one you have to think hard to find when eating it. I tried the Sam's BelGioioso fresh mozzarella a few weeks ago, and it had zero flavor... nice texture, but no flavor. This is half the price, and is so much better. I was hesitant before, because it is a big block of cheese, and I didn't know what it tasted like. Now, I'm very glad that it's a big block of cheese. It's normally not easy to find outside of Mexican markets, but it is the go to Mexican melting cheese when available, and Sam's has made it easily available, so no excuse for not using real Oaxaca Mexican style melting cheese and substituting tasteless Jack instead.

I was buying monterrey jack from kirkland but when I found out sams has asadero I bought it and I love it Not even my family notice I changed it I like that I can make costras de queso for my tacos (keto tacos cheese tortilla) This is the type of queso that mexican tacos shops use for “fantasmas” tacos
