Polo black is a unique scent. It is definitely manly yet subtle. Their description of the "notes" is kinda useless, especially for people like me. As the title says though, heres how to make Polo Black your Go To cologne. IF you spray it like other colognes, it will fade with in hours. BUT! Dont think of it as, its faded, that the scent is gone...think of it nore like, its settled. Heres the trick to making Polo Black last longer for YOU to enjoy. When spraying it, hold the sprayer about 2 inches from your wrist, spray it 4 times on your wrist, (if you notice that its running down your wrist because of the closeness that you just sprayed, GREAT! You did it right). Now, rub your wrists together a few times to even out the scent. Next, your going to spray your chest, holding the sprayer about 3 inches from your chest, spray it 3 times, going left to rt or rt to left (once on the left side once on the rt and then once in the center) wah lah! It WILL settle, but others will compliment you all day.
Ive been using Polo Black for about 25 years. Sams Club has it priced decently. Especially for the 4.2oz bottle. If you put Polo Black into your cologne rotation, that 4.2oz bottle will last about a year and half. I understand not everyone has the same results, or even more than one cologne (my rotation colognes are, Polo Black, Hugo, Hugo Extreme, Hugo Ice and.. on occasion Polo original) My 4.2oz bottles last a minimum of a year and half. A lot of colognes base (after its settled from being sprayed) will adapt to your bodies natural chemical scent. This is true for me, and this part is pretty cool.. Polo Black is, in my opinion, so unique that when I was drinking to now, 22 mos sobriety, my bodies chemistry has changed, and Polo Black, STILL makes my wife VERY... hmmm ah! I know.. makes her VERY touchy Feely.
Trying to describe the scent, is very hard to do. You just read what other colognes i keep in my rotation, hopefully that tells you a bit of how much of a match Polo Black is to scents. Uf youve ever tried Hugo Ice, imagine THAT, but.. darker? More bassy hit? I know it does NOT smell like polo original, does NOT smell musky, does NOT smell cheap! And definitely does NOT smell foo foo.. its great for anytime, but would go very well at a fancy restaurant, or snuggling time with your lady.
