Its rich, complex flavors of caramel, vanilla, and a hint of fruit create a truly memorable drinking experience. The smooth, refined finish lingers beautifully. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first time trying Glenlivet Scotch. This 14 year old single malt is finished in cognac casks. It is very light and soft with mild sweetness and a slight fruitiness. No smoke but a touch of bitter char on the finish. Overall not very complex but very easy to drink.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is a good whiskey for a girls' night out because of its fruity flavor and aroma. The aroma reminded me of a Mexican Christmas drink. It is very versatile and can be combined with other ingredients. The cost is fair for the amount of whiskey.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband is a huge bourbon fan but is newer to scotch. He said this had a sharp nose, mild flavor, and was extremely easy to drink. This did not have significant earthy notes and was a good scotch for a bourbon drinker.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a fan of Glenlivet whiskey, we were excited to have the opportunity to drink this 14 year Scotch. It was beautifully presented in a purple box and was an enticing shade of mahogany. Opening the bottle released a delicate aroma of subtle floral and fruit, also evident in the first smooth sip was the slightest hint of honey sweetness. We enjoyed this straight on granite ice cubes and also subbed it in an Old Fashioned and we were pleasantly surprised.

We wanted to send a short review of the 14 Year Scotch. We are enormous fans of the Glenlivet collection of scotch, but found a real deviation from the quality and flavor from the rest. Unfortunately we cannot reccomend the 14 to anyone because the notes are diluted and the after taste leaves the impression of fruity stale grains. For the money, the 15, Founders Reserve, and the Caribbean are far better choices. On a side note try the Glenlivet in a GLENCAIRN glass, it's a life changing experience.

I have had the pleasure sip many scotches. The Glenlivet 14 year old is without question my favorite. It appeals to my senses more favorably than more expensive ones. With just a splash of water to open its full bouquet is is the best regardless of price.

Had a deep three finger pour with just a splash to open it up. Immediately greeted with that familiar Speyside profile… but yet different. It is the nice traditional flavors I love about Glenlivet but with more layers. Deeper. Richer. More complex yet with an unexpected smoothness and easy drinkability. This is what basic single malts wish they could grow up to be.

While I would never turn away the everyday 12 y/o Glenlivet, this is a fantastic choice for a special ocassion. If there is a smoother finishing single malt I have not yet found it. 3 generations of Scotch drinkers in my family and this is the by far all of our favorites, you will not be disappointed.
