Affordable meter

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The TRUE METRIX - Self Monitoring Blood Glucose Meter is a very affordable meter. However, the package does not include test strips. It does include the battery, 10 lancets and a compact carrying case. The strips the machine uses require more blood than previous machines used, but it is not that big of a deal. Overall this little unit is okay for blood sugar metering.

TRUE METRIX - Self Monitoring Blood Glucose Meter

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] very easy to use, automatically detects, analyzes and shows the reading clearly and correctly, and test strips are not coded and love the test strip release button on the machine, and is able to download and save readings to other sites other storing five hundred readings with time and date on the meter. I have used several different types of meters in the years and like this one the best. i have received True Metrix Self Monitoring Blood Glucose Meter free of charge in return of my honest opinion.

Good meter

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, this meter is super easy to use and the interface is straightforward. It came with lancets and test strips, which was nice for beginning to use it. I tested it multiple times and the meters came out accurate. The only downside I noticed was the amount of blood that it takes to get a read seems pretty high. I had to just the lancet in an aggressive way to get enough blood. If it doesn't get enough blood, it throws and error code and that was annoying.

Good Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] True Metric self monitoring blood glucose meter works really good. Very good product and very easy to manage and easy to use. It requires a tiny blood sample and the results are very fast and very accurate. its actually helping to keep blood sugar in line. The one downside I found was sometimes it gives me error reading. PROS: * Easy to use * fats reading and accurate * helps keep blood sugar in check CONS: * error reading sometimes

Great monitor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this meter. It works great and it is super easy to use. It is a very light meter and the whole case with meter and lancets and strips and the booklet. It’s small enough to fit in my purse, but it works great and I love it.

Easy to use and accurate

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My mother has Type 2 Diabetes and since we have this Self Monitoring Blood Glucose Meter her checkings are way faster, easier to do and more accurate. She is very satisfied with all its features, specially with the blinking lite that reminds her to release the used/tested strip. Very useful and trustworthy.

Easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This blood glucose meter is super easy to use and very user friendly. All my readings have been very consistent and accurate. When I first started using the True Metrix and made the switch from my old meter, I was testing on both to see how accurate of numbers I was getting and they were both spot on with each other. The strips though for the True Metrix are much more affordable and easier to find then other meters I’ve used in the past. All around, great meter!

The meter is great. The accessories not so much.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received this from influenster to test & review. The TRUE METREX meter comes with 10 test strips, 10 lancets, control solution, self test log, the pen & a zip bag case. The meter is smaller than the one I already have but the display is nice & doesn't feel awkward to hold. It has a button to release the strip after testing, which I'm not used to but not a deterrent. If I choose to switch meters it will be something that will take some getting used to. The pen for the lancets feels flimsy at best. I'm used to the accucheck soft click pens, so having to pull this one to engage it is annoying & it feels like it will break. I personally don't prick my fingers, I prick on my forearms. So the only thing this pen has going for it is that I have it set on 4 & don't have to push down when I click the button & it gets me the right amount of blood to test the first try. Anything under 4 tho I still have to push down when I hit the button to get enough. I've never used or even seen control solution but it was easy enough to figure out & use. I won't personally use the self test log because I keep records in my phone. The zip bag case thing feels cheap & honestly like a disaster. The case for my normal meter has bands to hold everything in place & a zip pouch inside for lancets & a pocket for a log. This bag just feels so unorganized. But it is smaller & more compact. I tested on this meter & my normal meter at the same time & they read within 1 point of each other. I'm going to say that's accurate because my strips for my normal one may or may not be a bit passed expiration. Lol. So I call it a win. I think I will carry this one with me until Ive run out of test strips for it. I may just end up buying more & keeping it in my bag.

A pretty good value

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not the easiest meter to program, it's a bit more difficult then other meters I've owned. I am very pleased as how little blood is required compared to other strips I have used. I am also very pleased to find that the test strips are VERY Reasonably priced!
