Disappointed

I have bought these potatoes in the past and had no issues. I picked up a bag yesterday and they are disgusting...they look like regular potatoes and not russet. When i cleaned them for our supper they ended up with a disgusting skin texture. They do not have the deep brown smooth skin like a russet potato should have.

There okay

They are okay. But the ones they normally have are light and fluffy. These are nothing special.

Rotten

The bag I bought has spoiled potatoes. Not only were some rotten on the outside but once I peeled the others thinking they were good, they weren't. I ended up with only 5 good potatoes of regular size out the 15lb jumbo bag.

To much bruising and bad spots.

I always buy my baking potatoes from Sams, but the last few times, the potatoes are huge and not very good quality. I always use these for baked potatoes, but now usually make twice baked by peeling, cooking and then adding toppings, so I can make sure there are not any bad spots for my guest to find. . Also the potatoes are not really uniform. Some are fat and huge while other are small but again fat. This makes it hard to have a potato bar. I like my baked potatoes longer and about the same size. Since I order online and pick up my order, this is hard to get what you want, but even going in and picking my own has become a problem! I wish they would find another producer for this products. I now go where I can pick my own. Maybe a little higher priced, but as much as I have to take out of the one from Sams, I really come out on top with the other store.

Hot potato! Hot potato!

For large gatherings, we wash, wrap in foil, then bake a whole oven full. Take them out while they're hot, leave the foil on and wrap them in a towel and place them in a cooler to transport. They stay hot a long time. Great as a side or for a potato bar. Fun food...and inexpensive.

Terrible Bag

Normally, I'd never write a review of a bag of potatoes, but I bought 15 lbs of potatoes and couldn't use a single one! They all looked acceptable on the outside, but the entire bag had rot. The. Entire. Bag. I couldn't even cut out the rot, or around it. There wasn't anything left when I tried!

My favorite bakers

Baking potatoes can be a frustrating experience. You get a 5lb bag and end up with one or two actual baking potatoes. Not in this bag! This bag is packed full of actual baking potatoes that are sizable, plush and are a real crowd pleaser for baked potato night! To get through them all, we use our spiralizer to make homemade hash browns, slice them for au-gratin potatoes and even sometimes make some homemade fresh fries. Quick tip on homemade french fries - soak the potatoes first!
