We have always bought Michelin tires and have always had excellent service with the exception of this last set. Put a new set on 2008 Honda Ridgeline mileage 69,000 and now we took them to be balanced and they tell us htey are f"feathering" coming apart. And that we need a new set of tires, mileage is not 132,000. We are looking to another dealer. but would still recomment Michelin.

I have a 2013 Jeep Wrangler that seemed to wander all over the road and was noisy. We considered moving up to a newer model. With new Michelin's its like a newer Jeep - much tighter and quiet. You wouldn't think tires could make such a difference!

The prior generation of these tires were awesome. Absolutely loved them. Quiet, durable, and long lasting. Bought these thinking that I would get the same service and quality. But I have to say that I can't stand them because they absolutely ROAR going down the highway. They are the loudest set of tires I have ever owned. I have owned off-road tires that don't make as much noise as these. If the amount of noise these tires make rolling down the highway matters to you, DO NOT BUY THESE TIRES! I wish I could get my money back...

I have a set on my van, 2500 diesel and 1500. I couldn't be more happy. I had purchased a set of bf all terrains for my 2500 before these and they lasted 25k , the defenders have 65k on them and are still about 70 percent tread left. I will never go back to anything but Michelin, they are by far the best on the market for any make or model of vehicle. Also I run them all year round and find them just as good as snow tires on the trucks, I run x ice xi2 on the van and it is remarkable how good they are. I hope anyone that is trying to decide what to buy. Please spend a little more money and buy Michelins you will not regret it! Thank you Michelin for creating such a great product that I can trust and depend on every day.

I was a Michelin Man for life until I got 50,000 miles out of my 70,000 mile LTX M/S tires. I paid the higher price to get the mileage that Michelin is known for so I'm really disappointed. My friends are saying the same- they just don't last like they used to. I highway drive back and forth to work and do the occasional hunting trips in my Nissan Titan LE so there is no reason on my part for the excessive tire wear. Sure, to make it better they will give me the 20% for the wear but that does not cover (1) the extra I paid to begin with and (2) all of the extra cost of going thru the mounting process 20,000 miles earlier than expected.

We were looking for a new set of tires and wanting great performance, longevity and ride noise. We came across this tire and for the first several weeks all has been good. We've dealt with some rain and icy conditions and no lack of performance issues so far. The ride noise has been the most impressive including during a road trip we took as well. We've been impressed so far with some of the key aspects we were looking for.

My Mechanic suggested to me that I purchase MICHELIN® DEFENDER LTX M/S tires. Similar to the tire which I had on the car when I purchased it. My first set of Michelin's lasted 6 years; 115,000 km. I know these will do the same. I drive soundly...knowing I'm travelling on Michelin's!

I bought these tires more than a year ago. I call them 3 season tires as we have 6 months of snow tire necessity in the north. I always buy the best I can afford and Michelin is a very good price for the quality. My wife and I both feel safe on wet or dry pavement and I have found that the road noise in our SUV has decreased dramatically since changing to Michelin. I have always leaned toward Michelin for the reasons above and lastly, if we get caught in an early snowstorm or ice storm I will always feel safe. We have the Defender LTX M/S

Bought new Michelin 18” Defender LTX M/S2 tires for a Ford F250 to replace Michelins that had come with the truck. My old tires were smooth as silk and I actually got more miles from them than the warranty. However, the new tires vibrated badly, so I had them rebalanced twice, with no improvement. Michelin replaced the tires under warranty, but the new tires also vibrate badly. I took them to another shop that had a road force balancer and paid out of my own pocket to have them rebalanced again. There was some improvement, but there's still a significant amount of vibration. I'm very disappointed in these tires.

I had the original Michelin LTX MS and now have about 500 miles on the new Defender LTX MS. I think Michelin really got it right with the whole design of this tire. The original LTX is a great beloved tire. It provides good all season traction, a smooth quiet ride and decent tread life. I see the difference to the LTX MS2 and the Defender LTX I am driving is mostly in the outer shoulder block tread design. Its not open so water and slush can evacuate more easily. I like this idea. So far I love the new Defender. My only advice to Michelin and keep a decent tread depth on your tires. For an SUV or truck 11/32 should be the minimum.
