I have had these tires on my Ford Expedition EL for almost a month. I have logged around 2000 miles, first impressions are very good. The control they provide is a big step up from the old BF Goodrich tires. I would not drive my Expedition in the snow due to poor stopping traction in the past. Now I do so with confidence. These tires are solid, in rain, snow and on dry pavement. This tire is quiet and rides great at highway speeds. If you are wondering if a tire can make a difference try these shoes on your vehicle you will be amazed. I will update this review as I log the miles.

We have been experiencing very poor driving conditions, however, our Michelin Defender LTX M/S tires have been excellent in assisting with our driving safety. Everyone should drive according to the conditions no matter what type of tires your car has on it. Our Michelin's are excellent in every way. Our Lexus RX350 has better control since we had our Michelin's put on. We simply feel safer.

I have always been a Michelin fan. The recent set of LTX's were installed at time of vehicle purchase in 2019 and got me 90,000 miles. I purchased a new set in May of 2022, they have roughly 10k miles on them. After the first rotation they began to howl. I expected a little but not like this. I took the vehicle to point of purchase and inquired about the noise. We rotated front to back but the noise remains. It's been too long and too many miles for a tire adjustment from the store so i'm about to pay additional money to swap out the tires for a new set but after reading other reviews about the noise i'm afraid my money will not be well spent. To me it seems Michelin's improvement to an already great tire is ruining my enjoyment of driving and the security of riding on the best. Not sure what to buy now.

I have had 2 sets of LTX M/S tires on 2 different vehicles and have loved them. Each time I switched from the tire that came on the vehicles to the LTX I experienced an immediate improvement in the ride comfort. I also have had excellent results with wear and performance. In fact I specifically put these on my current vehicle because of my prior experience and they did not let me down despite being a different size tire. They were just as good as before if not better. They have been on my current vehicle for over 50000 miles and are still producing outstanding results. I will continue to use these tires or perhaps the M/S2's in the future.

I have nothing but good things to say about the LTX M/S. Having 5 daughters playing hockey, I have had many miles driving on these tires. I have driven through many snow storms and unplowed roads. Traction has been wonderful. One trip to Duluth Minnesota we experienced a storm which closed the city. Duluth is pretty hilly, the amount of snow we had to navigate was challenging. One of the parents thought I had four wheel drive. He could not believe it was only two wheel drive and was impressed how well the Michelin tires performed. Bib would be proud. I have convinced two friends to change to Michelin and they have been very happy with them. When its time for new tires I know they will be Michelin.

I have been buying Michelin tires for 40 years now. Overall I have been quite satisfied with the wear patterns, reliability and service life of the tires. I have had Michelin tires on light trucks, vans, SUV's, sedans, sports cars and mid-range trucks. The Defender LTX M/S for my 2015 RAM 2500 4x4 Turbo diesel 3/4 ton truck only lasted 20 months and less than 30,000 miles. They were religiously rotated every 5,000 miles, not used for heavy loads or towing, little mountain road driving and no off road use. They all four (4) wore evenly but did not reach any where near the 50,000 service life expectancy.

I owned Defenders previously, until 2018 when I replaced them with these current (2011 Highlander SUV). And now at speeds over 40 mph the oscillating sound is so loud and driving me nuts. I read a review when I bought these suggesting they are loud and now I believe it. Don't buy these -I don't know why Michelin can't design a quieter tire for SUVs. They have always been my go-to brand for my sedans.

Vacation this year was to Florida and as we were driving through Georgia we encountered a series of very heavy rain storms. the rain was heavy enough to slow traffic to 30 miles and below on I-75. when we got to our destination for that night the second vehicle that we were traveling with was remarking about all the hydroplaning that they had experienced. we were surprised because we had not experienced any even though there were times there was water on the highway. I attribute this to my Michelin tires and I am glad that they always keep me and my family safe.

I have these tires on my 2007 Chevy Silverado 1500. They have about 20,000 miles on them at this point and have been excellent. The wear appears to be smooth and even and I have no problems to report at this time. The tires are extremely smooth, quiet and they ride excellent. I hope they will last at least another 30,000 miles. If they do I will be thrilled wth the all around performance of this tire.

When we purchased our new 2011 GMC Yukon we insisted and the dealer complied with our wish to replace the factory tires with Michelins. We just replaced the originals with slightly over 70,000 miles and could not have been more pleased with tires that were still quiet with a good ride and tread depth that would pass inspection. We chose to replace them at this time because we don't like running a tire that is getting close to minimum tread depth. This opinion is based on our driving on interstates at high speeds and in mountain terrain. We have years of experience using Michelins and would not consider another brand.
