Zinfandel's are supposed to be semi-dry, and I normally enjoy that hint of sweetness in my red without it being... sweet. However, I do not enjoy dry wines and this was very, very, dry, unpleasantly oaky, and high in tannins. Like biting into a green banana, it dries up all the saliva in your mouth! Will probably use this bottle for sauces and gravies, possibly salad dressing.

I had a disappointing first attempt with this wine a few years ago, it just didn't taste good. This was prior to the currently available 2021 vintage. Seeing some currently good reviews, I gave it another try, and I am surprised at how different (better) it is now. I'm going back for more.

Old Zinfandel flavor is decent. Price is perfect for this type of wine

I love Lodi Zins, but this one is a bit too jammy. I prefer my Zins a bit more complex.
