Way too sweet

I just got this to give it a try. First sandwich and I thought, way too sweet..." According to the label it has 5 grams of added sugar per slice. That's over a teaspoon! Way too much sugar for bread. Maybe good for pancakes. Yuck! I also think the texture is a little too moist and dense for my liking, it's more like cake than bread.

The answer to a PBJ junkies cravings

I tried this bread and instantly was hooked. I took a part time job at an IGA that didnt sell it. I tried every similar bread available due to the convenience of shopping at work the past 14 months. This week I had some killer 21 again and sent for 5 loaves to have on hand.

Lots of added sugar

I regret not noticing that there are 5 grams of added sugar in every slice of this bread. I think that’s close to half a cup in a loaf? Far too much for a bread I had hoped was healthier. Personally I’d prefer a much less sweet taste too. I won’t be buying it again.

Best You Can Buy that Don’t Taste Like Cardboard

Best bread on the market and I have tried quite a few. It taste amazing with butter or whatever you are going to make a sandwich out of. They use good grains. Now being it has zero preservatives I highly recommend you divide it and freeze whatever you know you’re not going to use. Worth the price.

Twin pack's nutrition content is different 😑

Hello! I love this bread but I want to point out and question why the twin pack from my membership only box store is a different recipe. Each slice has 4 g fiber, 6 g protein and half the omega 3s at 130 mg. The single loaf from my regular grocery store has 5 g fiber, 5 g protein and 260 mg omega 3s. While the twin pack bread is softer, I much prefer the other recipe with more fiber and omega 3s.

Good Quality Bread But Slightly Too Much Sugar

This is a great quality bread for the most part with really good ingredients but the fact that it has 5g of added cane sugar PER SLICE is crazy. That’s already 10g of sugar before adding anything else to the bread. Please, lower the sugar or use a healthier sugar and this bread would be a 10 out of 10!

I eat it for the fiber!

I began eating this particular type of Dave’s bread when my doctor told me to increase my daily fiber intake. It’s the only bread I found that has 4 grams of fiber AND it tastes good. The only thing that would improve this is to increase the fiber per slice.

Delicious

I love this bread. It has whole grains and seeds but it actually tastes good and the seeds aren't overwhelming. I also really love the backstory of the company, which makes me want to support them even more. My kids aren't as big of a fan but I think it's great for deli sandwiches and sometimes just with butter on it.

Great bread

I really love Dave’s 21 whole grains bread and the healthy ingredients added to it. However, I’m sad to say that I won’t be buying it anymore due the amount of added sugar in each slice. I mean does a slice of bread really need 5 grams of sugar? The bread is so good that it doesn’t even need that extra sugar. It’s mostly health conscious people purchasing this bread so I really do think more people would buy it if y’all didn’t add so much sugar in your bread. Other than the high sugar content, this really is a good bread and I’d happily buy it again if there’s a zero added sugar option in the future.

I’m going crazy?

I felt like I was going crazy the last few months of buying this bread??!! When I first started purchasing it like 3 years ago the taste was great! Soft inside and nice light brown outside! Now the center feels so dry and the outside is always so burnt. Every time I eat it, it’s so dry. Have the ingredients changed as well?? It used to be wheat flour but now has cracked wheat? Why change the product when the taste and consistency was perfect?? I’m so sad, because you guys actually made a quality product that tasted amazing that I was willing to spend more money on. What a shame.
