not waterproof

I bought this mattress cover to put on a new mattress that I purchased for my disabled brother. Thank goodness I asked the delivery man to help me put it on the mattress. The description led me to believe that it unzipped completely, it opens up more than a pillowcase, but it is a tight fit in a 12" mattress. It takes 2 people to put it on the mattress. That information is not in the description. If it unzipped completely so that one person could put it on, I would have given it 5 stars. 

It is a nice mattress cover! It has a velvety top and does not crinkle when you lie on the bed. He doesn't even know it's there. ;-) 

Fits perfectly and is quite.
