I love lime water

Love to buy fresh juices, veggies, cloths,medicine etc,etc. It is every time wonderful experience to have my grocery and many,many things to be purchased in good price.

I buy these limes to make margaritas and use in my coleslaw, when I make shrimp tacos. I just made mini key lime pies. I’ll write another post about how the mini key lime pies turned out.

These are the freshest limes around. We use them to make ceviche, various other dishes, and of course, Lime pie. They never disappoint, and the price is fair.

We use a lot of limes at our house for everything from guacamole to mixed drinks, and I like getting this big bag of them at Sam's. It's a good value and at the rate we go through them, we need that! Lol

This bag of limes were fresh and in good condition. Had plenty of juice and not spotted or getting dried out. Fun fact, if using to squeeze, put in microwave for 10 to 20 seconds and the it makes them juicier and you get more juice.

Honest & fair. Chips fall where they may. So this bag o’limes was pretty good. Clearly, that statement alludes to the thought that there is some inconsistency - bingo. Sadly, there is. That inconsistency is in regard to the quantity of juice in each lime. When purchasing, there is an expectation even when being fair includes the knowledge that if a company like Sam’s wants to keep a significant supply/inventory of (fruit) throughout the year (millions of bags systemically), it is acknowledged that the fruit in that supply chain will have a significant variety of sources. Those sources add to variables naturally inherent in fruit (i.e. “juiciness”) by the amount of water supplied to the growing process of a supplier and when in its lifecycle the fruit is harvested. International sourcing…okay we get it. Not hard. But I am not buying a decoration. I still want to buy and cut into a beautiful looking lime and be able to get something out of it. In complete fairness, generally we do. Sometimes, in a yearly perspective, there are stretches when that just doesn’t happen and we implement a work-around. Again, in fairness, that leads back to Sam’s.

The limes I purchased from Sam's Club were of poor quality from the outset. Upon buying them, I noticed that half appeared to be freezer burned, and within approximately eight days, they had deteriorated to the point where I had to discard them, along with the lemons I had also bought from the same store. When I disposed of them in the garbage can, a cloud of smoke suddenly appeared, similar to a sandstorm. After verifying that there were no flour in the garbage can, my concern grew regarding the potential preservatives used on these fruits, which seemed to remain fresh only until they were purchased by unsuspecting customers.
