I first tried this at the Jameson distillery outside cork. we bought a couple of bottles duty free to take home with us. Since then, we always have one bottle in the house. It is our go-to sipping whiskey. We just can’t get over how smooth it tastes, great flavor, etc. for the cost of a bottle. Incredibly worth it.

Just returned from the Dublin Irish Festival and kudos to Jameson for their sponsorship of this outstanding event. Great selection of Jameson products and especially loved the availability of Black Barrel shots. So so good. Easy to drink and love the taste. Thanks.

We were away from home for my recent birthday, so my husband bought me another bottle of Jameson Black Barrel to help celebrate my "milestone" birthday. It had been a while since I had consumed any of it at home, but it was just a smooth as I remembered it being.

Was up in Rhode Island visiting relatives and we went out to eat at a new seafood place. Usually when we go out I end up drinking water with lime because the restaurants only cater to weird yuppie vodka or rum based cocktails. Much to my surprise as we walk by the bar while being shown to our table I spied a bottle of Black Barrel sitting all alone on the top shelf (the server did not know what it was or how it got there) needless to say that bottle and I became well acquainted that evening. For me it was the high point of the trip.

BEST. IRISH. WHISKEY. EVER.!!!!!  Jameson Black Barrel or Caskmates are my top two go to whiskeys.  Being a good ole Irish girl, whose father was born in Dublin, I don't see any reason to stray from my homeland for a great whiskey!  Smooth and easy to drink, straight up or on the rocks or maybe in just a good old fashioned Irish Coffee!  Nothing beats it!

While traveling in Ireland my cousin and I bonded over many evenings especially after touring the distillery there. However, we love Blenders Dog. We both have finished our purchase and cannot get it In Arizona. Any chance you might export to USA Black Barrel is the best choice we have now

Black barrel used to be my favorite Jameson, but it tastes like they changed it. It’s aged for 15 years and is finished off in sherry casks, it’s pretty smooth, but not nearly as good as it used to be. A little pricy for a fifth, around 36 dollars, but any fan of Irish whiskey will want to give this a try.

I first starting drinking regular Jameson Irish Whiskey as a mule (Ginger beer and a lime). Decided to try Jameson Black Barrel. Nice smooth taste and I drink this specifically on the rocks. A friend of mine took a trip to Ireland and stopped at the Jameson Irish distillery. He brought me back a bottle of Jameson Irish Whiskey that is not sold here in the states. The bottle's label had my name on it and of course the box it came in had my name listed as well. What was better than having my name on the label was the taste was even smoother than Black Barrel.

I get together with a friend for whiskey and cigars a couple of times of month. We sample various whiskeys, but we always come back to Black Barrel as one of our very favorites. I keep a bottle of it the shelf for evenings by the fire pit, it Never disappoints

I just purchased a 1.75 L of the Jameson Black Barrel and I am very disappointed! I love the smoothness of the regular Jameson and expected this in Black Barrel with more character, but alias I found it harsh with that fusel oil aftertaste you find in cheaper liquors. Maybe if they run it through a charcoal filter it would smooth it out. Some people like that taste, but I do not. I wish I could trade it in for a regular triple distilled bottle.
