FINALLY, a whisky I can drink!! My husband and I toured the Jameson factory in Midleton on our recent visit to Ireland. I've never been a whisky drinker, but I tried them all on the tasting table. Discovered that I really don't like ANY whisky!! As I was checking out at the gift shop with some gifts for my husband, I asked the sweet young cashier if she drank whisky, and if so which kind. She said that she did not drink it before working there, but she really liked Black Barrel. So, I found a small bottle of Black Barrel in a little bag by the register and added it to my purchases. Fast forward to Thanksgiving when my husband opened the mini Black Barrel, along with his bottle of Jameson Distillery Edition. We made Whisey Gingers with the Black Barrel, and they were EXCELLENT!!! It's now January 2nd, and we're on our third bottle of Black Barrel (regular size, from our local liquor store). You really should market it as the "Whiskey for those that don't like ANY whiskey"!

Had the pleasure of visiting your place in Dublin last summer. My husband is a die hard fan. Now I am a fan of your cold press coffee whiskey. Irish coffees every night. The barrel cask is very smooth . Our guest look forward to cocktails made with Jameson. Jameson and ginger is a big hit.

Never enjoyed whiskey much until with my mate Mikey and we enjoyed a chilly winter day at the distillery in Cork. Gained a better appreciation for whiskey after this experience. Gained an even more appreciation for the Jameson. Didn’t think it could get better and smoother and more enjoyable until I enjoyed the black barrel edition. This is the best. The best.

Jameson can do no wrong. I've had just about every variation they've cone out with besides the top shelf. The price is very reasonable for a delicious Irish whiskey. Black barrel, so far, is my favorite bottle that they have put out. A bottle of this makes an awesome gift!

Actually bought my first bottle after our tour of the Jameson Distillery in the gift shop and brought it back to the US. Saved it for special occasion and had it for first time (the birth of my grand son - just happens to be named Jameson!). Happily I can buy it here in the States now!

More complex flavors that linger on the palette. A little chewy without the bite of regular wiskey, soft and velvety, a real sleeper especially for the price. The alcohol doesn't blow you away. Great whiskey to introduce to a novice and convert a Speyside scotch drinker.

Regular Jameson is smooth but Black Barrel, to me, is smoother. It has a robust flavor and is great straight or over rocks. It is also great for a summer drink. i.e.: Jameson, ginger, and a bit of soda water. Fun to sip with friends or sip with a great book. Either way, you can't miss with Black Barrel Jameson.

I first starting drinking regular Jameson Irish Whiskey as a mule (Ginger beer and a lime). Decided to try Jameson Black Barrel. Nice smooth taste and I drink this specifically on the rocks. A friend of mine took a trip to Ireland and stopped at the Jameson Irish distillery. He brought me back a bottle of Jameson Irish Whiskey that is not sold here in the states. The bottle's label had my name on it and of course the box it came in had my name listed as well. What was better than having my name on the label was the taste was even smoother than Black Barrel.

I get together with a friend for whiskey and cigars a couple of times of month. We sample various whiskeys, but we always come back to Black Barrel as one of our very favorites. I keep a bottle of it the shelf for evenings by the fire pit, it Never disappoints

I just purchased a 1.75 L of the Jameson Black Barrel and I am very disappointed! I love the smoothness of the regular Jameson and expected this in Black Barrel with more character, but alias I found it harsh with that fusel oil aftertaste you find in cheaper liquors. Maybe if they run it through a charcoal filter it would smooth it out. Some people like that taste, but I do not. I wish I could trade it in for a regular triple distilled bottle.
