Undercooked

I usually buy two rotisserie chickens for a quick meal. Was so disappointed with my last purchase. A couple other people and I wanted a fresh batch. I noticed what I assume to be the cooking timer say 18 min, so we went to the other side of the store to finish shopping. That took approx. 8-10 minutes. Came back to the oven, and the guy was taking them off the rotisserie. If that was a timer on the oven that I saw, that chicken should have had at least 8-10 more minutes. It looked like he used a thermometer, so I assumed they were fully cooked, since they were so nice and brown. When we got home, someone cut the breast which looked okay. The problem came down to pulling off the leg. The bone joint was so reddish pink that no one wanted any. I live 30 minutes away, so it wasn't worth my time to go back to the store for a refund. If you choose to buy these, pull off the leg before you begin eating. I read someone comment that the reddish color was the paprika. Nah....you only expect a a shade of reddish pink when there's a smoke ring from bbq chicken. Won't get these any time soon.

NOT a Rotisserie Chicken any longer. Air Fried.

The current chicken looks nothing like the picture supplied by Sam's Club. Sam's Club has changed their oven from a rotisserie to an air fryer. There is a HUGE difference in the texture and moistness of the chicken. The ovens Sam's Club was using was the self basting type, which had the juices of one chicken to drop on the below bird. It was absolutely fabulous . . . tender, juicy, succulent. NOT ANYMORE. I am lamenting the death of one of the best store bought Rotisserie Chickens. The other Big Box warehouse that starts with Cos*** chickens never even showed up for the competition, but now? They are have a chance. Sam's Club Rotisserie Chicken breast was dry. I mean very dry.

Undercooked with very pink and bloody areas!

We got a chicken a couple weeks ago, which was very undercooked und unsafe to eat. I reported this through the Sam's app, but I haven't received a response or a refund. Management does not seem to care and continues to undercook the chicken per reviews.

Sam's needs better management.

Went to Sam's on Wednesday March 19th, 2025 at around 10 am to get rotisserie chicken and a few other items, the chickens had just been put in the ovens and I was told they couldn't get the ovens started that morning and I would have to wait one and a half hours if I wanted one? I went into the freezer area to get eggs and there were no eggs anywhere? My daughter and I ended up having to drive back to Sam's a hour and a half later to get the chickens, so I don't think I will be doing anymore runs to Sam's before their regular open time if they can't even get a chicken cooked on time, and the excuse about all of the ovens not working was pretty lame imo.

Hot Rotisserie Chicken

I have had many recommendations from members to try this chicken. Today, Super Bowl Sunday I thought this would be great day to try it with all my football fans coming over. I purchased 3 of them at 12:37PM . I came home and waited for the fans to show up. 4:00 PM we are all ready to enjoy this chicken. To find all 3 of them not fully cooked! Needless to say 15 fans are gonna have to go without dinner. Thanks Sams Club

bloody undercooked chicken

i told my husband to get the darkest most done looking chicken today. i have not bought one in years because of bloody chicken issues in the past. i thought surely sam's had finally done something about selling under cooked chickens but no this one was also bloody inside. shame on sam's club for not listening to the many complaints from their customers. i was so grossed out after dealing with this that i could not even eat the soup i prepared with the white meat.

Poor quality Fruit,.& Bloody chicken

Raw Bloody chicken will ruin your whole dinner especially when the blood runs into your mashed potatoes! Poor quality fruit, sour hard rock kiwi fruit! And i paid $50 just to walk in the door and spent over $140 just on groceries and was very disappointed, not sure I will be back

MISSING CHICKEN 🐔

On Saturday, August 13th, I placed a pick up order for two items: a salad kit and a rotisserie chicken. When I arrived for my order, a Sam’s representative handed me the salad kit and told me that the chicken was not ready and would be an additional 45 minutes. She asked if I wanted to wait or have it credited back to my card. I told her I was unable to stay and would like it credited to my card. I immediately asked her if she would be the one to do that, and she said yes. I waited entire day for someone to handle the situation. Ten minutes before closing, I called our Sam’s store and spoke with a customer service representative, who took my phone number and assured me that this would be taken care of and I would receive a phone call confirming such. Three days later, I am still awaiting the phone call and/or evidence of the charge being returned to my credit card.

RAW ROTISSERIE CHICKENS

I have purchased Rotisserie Chicken for years, but this year my husband had to return the chickens (3) because the chickens were raw on the inside. Thank you, but NO THANK YOU, I WILL NOT PURCHASE ROTISSERIE CHICKEN FROM SAMS CLUB EVER AGAIN! AS A MATTER OF FACT I DO NOT EVEN WANT TO IMAGINE EATING ROTISSERIE CHICKEN!

Cartilage

I would like to preface this by saying that Sam’s has the best rotisserie chicken we have ever bought. We buy it all the time and have bought it for the last 30+ years. I purchased a rotisserie chicken from Sam’s for my daughter and her family to eat for dinner a few weeks ago. She is a nurse and she comes home very tired and thought this would be a nice gesture. When we were getting ready to eat dinner, I started to cut up the chicken and as I was cutting through the breast it sounded like a ‘crunchy’ kind of sound. I tasted it and the whole top breast sides tasted as if it was all cartilage~~crunchy and disgusting. I called Sam’s to see if anyone else had had the same experience and then I went to Sam’s and spoke face to face with someone in the chicken department. He was apologetic and hadn’t heard of any bad chicken. Will I come back to Sam’s to buy their rotisserie chicken? Of course I will! I am just a bit more leery ~~Thank you!
