Good tire / poor wear

The MXV4 is OEM on my Pilot. Currently have 37k miles on them and have done regular rotations as recommended. They are at the wear bars now and need replacement. This tire handles good in rain and snow but durability is disappointing. When I have the tires replaced next week they will be contacting Michelin about the wear issue. I don’t expect to get 60k out of the tires but another 10-12k isn’t unreasonable.

I chose Michelin knowing ...

I chose Michelin knowing their tolerances were so close. When I rub my hand across the tred blocks I feel a nice glass smooth surface. I love the way Michelin maximises the foot print to give me the stability, traction and braking I need to keep my family safe.

The Best Tires I've Ever Owned

Quite simply, these are the best tires I've ever owned. I never realized tires could make such a huge difference, but they do! Handling is amazing when roads are dry, and when they're wet. When it snows, they're close to the top of the line for all season tires. Riding comfort was greatly increased, potholes/bumps in the road I've previously been annoyed by simply feel like nothing is there. The only slight downside I've noticed is how "squishy" they feel around turns, but I found it took less than a day to get used to that. I definitely recommend these to anyone looking for new all season tires!

Buy These!

I was of the mind that all tires were black and round without much difference. I put these on my Ford Flex and even a week later I am still astonished at the noticeable smoothness and quiet. I am a fan forever. There is a difference that you will feel!

Great handling

Had the primacy mxv4 installed on my 2010 Prius. As promised the handling is superb. The ride is much better than the stock tires. Did sacrifice 3 miles per gallon but it is well worth it. I travel in many rural and remote areas where the roads aren't great and these tires have really made the trips better. Would recommend to any Prius owner looking for better handling and a smoother ride.

Best tires I have run.

I got these tires to replace the worn out set on my '05 Dodge Magnum before winter arrived. I didn't have them very long as I traded in the car about 9 months and 9,000km later. But in the time I did have them they met all my expectations. they rode and handled very well, braked well, had good traction over a Canadian winter and still looked new when the car was traded in. I wished the size would have been the same as the used car we traded it in on, as it had tires with much more mileage on them, but it has 20" wheels, not 18" as on the Dodge. Otherwise I would have had the dealership swap the tires as a condition of the deal. Overall I would recommend this line with no qualms.

I replaced a cheap OEM ...

I replaced a cheap OEM tire with less than 3K miles, that couldn't stop, was terrible in rain, and noisy with a Michelin Primacy MXV4 that is sure footed in the dry and in the rain and its extremely quiet both on concrete and asphalt at all speeds. My stopping distances have not only become much shorter, but without any drama. In addition, I was able to increase my fuel mileage by 1.5 MPG since installing them.

Outstanding Tires

Bought these because of all the review I have seen on the web and it is indeed an outstanding tire, quiet ride, and hardly any road noise, it grips the road and corners great. Replaced my old Michelin Hydroedge and my next tires will also be Michelins.

similar to Pilot

I had Pilot on my CTS. The replacement Pilot's were more than I wanted to spend and came across the Primacy. I would say they are similar road noise level to Pilot. The ride seems the same as Pilot. I recently drove up a brown slushy snow covered 20% incline (CTS is AWD) and had no problems going up it or coming down. Another 5% downhill and uphill were fine. Otherwise I have not pushed them to their limit on wet or dry roads. So cannot really comment on that.

Happy With the Quality

The Primacy MXV4 tires are installed on my 2009 Camry. I purchased them because I was very pleased with the wear and gas mileage that I got on the Michelin Energy MXVRS8 that came factory installed. I got the Primacy MXV4 tires because I was told by the tire dealer that they would have better traction in snow. I was also told that gas mileage might not be quite as good. I found both of these statements to be true. However, the gas mileage is still good. With the other tires, I often got 35mpg or better on the highway, but with these I get around 32mph. This is still very good with a V6 car.
