Not as good as they say

I replaced two tires on a 2012 Pilot Touring and less than 10,000 miles later, the tires are worn out and ready to be junked. These tires came as original equipment and I am very disappointed with the product. I have used them for city driving. The rear tires have 36,000 miles on them and are worn off.

Long lasting

I purchased the Primacy MX4 tires for my Honda Civic after the factory-original tires developed wear patterns in less than 40,000 miles. I have now driven almost 100,000 miles on my Michelins and they are still performing fine. I am getting ready to purchase my next set of Michelin tires! Love the handling and smooth ride!

Great Tire, Extremely Long Life!

As stated by another reviewer, this is an excellent tire with extremely long life. I now have 97,000 miles on my set and will most likely be able to run them for another 10,000 to 15,000 miles before they need to be replaced. With proper alignment, tire pressure, and responsible driving, these tires last forever!!! They are a great handling tire that excels on wet pavement and snow. Gas mileage improved significantly over the OEM tires too.

Made a difference in the ride

Michelin tires were on our Lexus when we bought the car. We were a little disappointed in the ride - road noise and a little bumpy. We needed to replace the tires at 46,000 miles. These new tires have made a difference. We just returned from a 2,700 mile road trip and are very pleased with the handling, the reduced road noice and smoother ride. I specifically purchased the H tire because of an article I read recommending the H Primacy MXV4 H. So glad we did!

I replaced the stock ...

I replaced the stock Civic tires 10,000 miles ago with the MXV4s and have been very happy with them. The run quieter than the original tires on all surfaces. Their grip is excellent on dry pavement, and they cut through standing water and heavy rain with no hydroplaning. I think they are excellent tires.

Terrible tread wear

This morning I checked the tread wear on my 2008 Hyundai Entourage with Michelin P235/60R17 MXV4 tires only to find that they had an average of 5/32 nds of tread left after only about 15,000 miles. This suggests that I will get down to 3/32 nds in about 6,000 more miles, roughly 1/3 of the warranted tread life. What the heck!?! The tires are rotated every 5,000 miles or so during the dealer's scheduled maintenance. Avoid these tires.

Disappointed in wear

I bought these tires to replace the OEM on my 2010 Honda Accord LX-P on 9/23/2012. My car had ~ 40K miles at the time. Flash forward exactly 2 years to today (9/23/2014) and I was just informed that I will need new tires before the winter - the tread is down to 4/32". My car now has 68K miles so it's only been 28K miles and the warranty on these tires is supposed to be 60K. What is interesting is I had to replace a tire 8 months ago and the tread on that one is down to 7/32" - that was only 8,000 miles ago! I keep my tires inflated with nitrogen and they are rotated regularly. They do ride and handle nicely so I would recommend them as long as you can afford to replace them often! As for me, I will be investigating a longer wearing tire....

These tires were ...

These tires were purchased for safety. For driving at high speed. The test reports at Consumer Reports are given high regard here as the ONLY independent review of tires. Importance is attached to stopping in the wet, resistance to aquaplaning, and handling. I do a lot of long distance, therefore high speed, travel, and tire which will give the best protection from those key hazards are most important. Low noise helps in reducing stress in very long drives.

I have Michelin's on my Mercedes, I travel 100 miels a day to and from work, the highway that I travel is two lanes and very curvy; when the weather gets bad with the ice and snow I can always depend on the great traction of the tires. I would not comprise with any other tire.

My Primacys'

The primacy tire was recommended for my car. It is a great tire and the price was reasonable. This is not the first time I have purchased Michelin tires. I've returned to Michelins because of the handling, ride, tire grip going around corners and stopping, and no hydroplaning! The last tires I purchased ( they were not Michelins) had a hard ride, I hydroplaned quite a bit, and lets just say, they were not Michelins! I've talked to several people regarding tires, and some had steered me away from buying Michelins. Don't listen to them. I've learned the hard/expensive way. Michelins are the best! They will not disappoint! Try them and see for yourself - you will be glad you did!
