Great process, ok tire

First off, let me say the Goodyear online purchase process is painless and efficient. The dealer had all the info they needed when I arrived, and were ready for the installation. The tire replaced OE Michelins on our 2014 Taurus, which were worn out and loud. On the Goodyear's the car is somewhat quieter, and much more responsive. Sadly, these tires are not as quiet as hoped, and introduce an odd hum at highway speeds on concrete freeway. Haven't driven on snow and ice yet. Have purchased a lot of Goodyear tires over the years, these are somewhat disappointing. Hoping they don't get any louder.

great performance for the price.

I put these tires on my Outback as an up grade from the bridgestones that came OE. the bridgestones were terrible in the rain and had uneven wear even with regular rotations performed every 6k. the bridgestones made the car fell mushy in the corners as where these enhanced the crispness of the steering. did I mention the rain handling is phenomenal in comparison. the ride is a bit stiffer but for me is a small price to pay for the added benefit of being able to drive in the rain at speed and have better feed back [ road feel ]. all around the car feels more controllable at any given situation.

My car has never handled so well

I went with the tires that were suggested by the service manager. The ride on these tires is excellent and the ride is comfortable. I have also noticed a 3 mile per gallon increase in mpg on highway use. The car handles the road and does float like in the past.

Will never buy Goodyear tires again.

Purchased for 2015 Highlander on suggestion from store associate. Feel all the bumps, they are louder than my previous cooper tires and traction in snow is less than desirable. Will do research next time I buy tires. I am stuck with these for awhile.

Traction and Ride

This car is heavy and fast with sophisticated suspension so the contact patches on the road must be able to withstand the vehicle input dynamics and these tires do just that. Excellent traction in hard stops and no squealing in rapid cornering. Non-slip acceleration on dry surfaces and reliable control in the rain. Snow is not a factor in this region. These Eagles replace the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus which is no longer available in this tire size. Very satisfied with the new rubber.

Too noisy and rough-riding

Realized after purchase that these are 6-ply extra-load tires. The same model tires on display at the store are only 4-ply regular-load tires, which might give a more comfortable and less noisy ride. Also, these tires SOUND like they are out-of-round when slowing down, even when letting the car slow down in neutral. These tires have less than 800 miles on them.

Noisy, stiff, and did I mention noisy?

I really wanted to like these tires. But they are very noisy and loud at speeds over 50 mph. On speaker phone, callers ask what the loud background noise is while im driving. unlike with my previous tires. They handle much better, but my 45 series profiles have very stiff sidewalls so every bump and imperfection is amplified. They are a much stickier tire, so i lost a few mpg. On cement freeways, the ride over 60 mph is horrible with a slapping sound. I am embarrassed to give others a ride if it involves any cement roads, On rough asphalt they roar. On smooth pavement, they are smooth and very quite. It's like day and night. I now have 45k miles on them and they do wear really well. I can probably go another 20K miles till replacement. I will be choosing a different tire next time, these didnt work out well for me

Good all around tire

This was my second set of Sport All Season Goodyears. The first set was on a 2010 Honda Accord Coupe V6. The second set I purchased recently for a 2016 Mini Cooper S. While these are 2 very different cars I noticed that dry traction was less than I was used to. Wet traction the same. I never got a chance to use them in the snow with the Mini, however they were outstanding on my Accord. no matter the conditions; rain, snow, sleet or dry. I feel its a better suited tire for a car in that class. Smaller performance and sporty cars would benefit taking a step up to the F1 All season tires. Hope this helps

Great quality tires for good price

I recently purchased these tires and drove over 400 miles through treacherous rain storms and these tires held up great with the handling, turning, high speed, and reliability. Since purchasing these tires, I don't expect to buy tires for the remaining time I own the car. Very pleased!

Good so far

These replace the OEM Hankooks on my 2012 Sonata and I have only one instance where I can say I was unpleasantly surprised. I stepped on the gas on a wet paved road and the tires broke traction I've never experienced that with my OEM tires. So I'll be more careful in the future on wet roads. I can't say how they perform in the snow yet, but other reviewers rate them relatively good in snow, possibly better than in the wet. They are very slightly noisier than the Hankooks, but still quite acceptable.
