I've had it about a month, have not yet had any problems with step opening or lid. It closes very slowly and smoothly but I've been gentle with it. Shape and charcoal color makes it look sharp and not an eyesore in my kitchen. Only thing is doesn't have enough space to fully fill 13 gallons, maybe like 12.

I've been hesitant to buy a trash can like this because I wanted to make sure it could handle the entire trash bag. My mom has one that is circular and you pull out trash bag and it's only 3/4 full. This trash can is perfect, the trash was to the top with no waste.

Love it. I have bought 3 now. A red one a black one and the brown/bronze one. The step on peddle is nice size. The lud is a slow soft close. Which i truly love. I can step on Peddle take my foot off and dump my filter coffee basket before it closes. And no bang noise. I love the rectangular basket. Seems i can fill the trash bag up more, don't knowv why but i feel it holds more. My sams club trash bags fit it awesome. I don't have to try and pry the bag on anymore. I love the pull out inner basket. I can clean it if need to easily since i don't have lift the whole can up, just the insert. And no fingerprints. I have 3 different colors and they are so brilliant and shiny and show fingerprints.

Solid trash can. Opens when I step on the pedal. Inside can has to sit just perfect for it to slide down al the way, but after a few tries you get the hang of it. The weirdest thing is that out of the box it had a crazy chemical smell - like an oil that was on the plastic. Had to let it air out in the garage before I wanted it in the house. 3 star review due to the smell and how finicky the inner can is.

We needed a trash can with a step on lif to keep our Doberman from trying to check out the trash from our swinging top trash can! I searched and reviewed numerous products. When we picked this up at Sam’s, we made sure to open and unpack it before we left the store due to some reviews that mentioned dents and similar damage to theirs. Ours was fine. We have been using it for a few weeks now and it’s working out great. The step is a little higher than I had expected, but getting used to it. I would definitely buy it again. We got the stainless steel color.

Ordered this trash can in red for a different look for our kitchen. The first trash can arrived about 4 days after ordered although it had several small dents. Return at the store was easy with a second can ordered and delivered within 4 days. The different color is a nice touch, the soft close lid is appreciated, and the overlay value seems good.

Absolutely beautiful, very good quality. Unfortunately, the trash can was dented in 2 locations. Its funny because the box itself was not damaged so it did not indicate that it could be damaged. But when we took it out of the box on Christmas Day we were totally surprised to see the dents. This will be returned, and I've already ordered a replacement.

The bronze color was out of stock for months, but it was well worth the wait. It is beautiful! As far as utility, this trash can scores a 10! What I love most about this trash can is the snug fit of the 13 gallon trash bags. Perfection. I highly recommend this one!

This will be our second product from Tramotina. We love the quality and the ease of use. We also like the removable plastic inner can to place a bag in and its vented at the bottom to let the plastic bag naturally expand ( this was after stopping people from trying to drop a few spare bags in the bottom thus blocking those openings).
