We bought this trash can 4 years ago, it is sturdy and works great. In reading all the good and bad reviews I agree with all of them. Our foot pedal broke after 4 years. The product description says "Covered by the Sam's Club Satisfaction Guarantee". I brought it back and Sam's CS gave me a gift card and I bought another one. Don't waste your time with Tramontina CS.

Owning this can for 2wks so far I have not 1con , Flush against wall and lid still opens without hitting the wall, Dog CAN NOT get in trash - Thank God I'm tired of cleaning up trash, Very easy to take a FULL bag of trash out of liner, Love the liner, Lid covers closes/fits and OVER the liner/bag , Lid closes slowly and quietly DOESN'T SLAM DOWN, I did go to the store to get it because I was concerned of getting one all dented up after reading reviews, I don't see how the can will get dented if sitting in kitchen. So far, no cons - love love it so far.. I hope this helps.

This is a great trash can. I've had mine for a very long time and it still works well. The improvement that is needed is a plastic liner for the lid that opens. The inside of my lid is rusty from the years of use and looks terrible. I would love to buy another unit but will not if my lid is going to look terrible again. Yes I've gotten many years of use out of it but for a long time it has been rusty on the inside. I hope this improvement is in the work so I can buy a new one and get many more years of use with a clean lid.

The function of the trash bin is good. The problem I have with the trash bin is that the top rusts on the inside. I called the manufacturer and they told me this is normal due to "gas" from the garbage inside. Said they would send me a top, but never received it. Just fyi.

This trash can looks nice but you cannot lock the lid open for tasks that take a while like cleaning/peeling fruits and veggies it even for removing the liner. Seems like a small thing but I don't want to have to keep my foot on the pedal for those things so this will be going back.

Stylish trash can looks good in our kitchen. Pros - removable inner liner, easy to clean, soft close lid. Cons - tends to "walk" backward when stepping on the pedal. I keep having to move it away from the wall. Also, there's no way to make the lid stay open. You have to remove the liner to avoid having to keep your foot on the pedal.

I’ve had one of those trash cans for years. The top lid has begun to slam shut after use. I’m guessing a spring broke, but I can’t tell where it went or find a new part to replace it. Anyone know where to find the spring to keep the lid from slamming on these? Thanks.

This trash can is so easy to use and it looks really good in my kitchen. The pedal is firm and opens so easy. I really enjoy using it because the lid opens all the way up. I bought the stainless steel and it is spotless. I use 13 gallon bags and they fit perfectly snug, the lid completely hides the bag. I recommend anyone else to buy it considering the price and it is a really high quality product.

Overall this trash can is ok and works as designed, but it arrived with a dented top lid. I popped most of the dents out, but some small ones remain. It lives in my garage outside my back door collecting recycling, so it's ok with the dents. Be warned the top of the shipping box isn't well protected. If you have this indoors where you see it all the time you may be disappointed.
