We use this trash can in the kitchen. Opening the lid with the foot pedal is really handy in the kitchen since there are a lot of times when you have both hands full and you need to dump something into the can. The previous can we had utilized a flip lid that constantly had to be cleaned due to food falling on top of it.

We bought this trash can and really like the looks of it, but after some time we noticed that the foot petal wasn't quite working right and over time it just got worse. Today I flipped the trash can over to see if I could figure out what the problem was. I discovered that the foot pedal was actually cracking along the pivot bar. I guess the pressure over time just made it start to crack. You would think that the foot petal would have been reinforced by a metal plate instead of just being plastic.

I have wanted this for years. Waited until my plastic can broke. It's large and fits well in my kitchen. Lid is soft close and easy to open. after checking other sources found that Sam's Cub had the best price and it was delivered to my car without ever going into the store. A real value!

This is my second Tramontina 13-Gallon Trash Can. The step for opening is very convenient and the automatic close secures the trash. The regular liners fit perfectly and facilitate easy removal of garbage for pick up. The variety of colors is a plus in matching kitchen appliances. or decor.

It’s a nice trash can. The only issues that I have with it is the banging sound that it makes upon closing and it keeps sliding all over the place. I think if it had some kind of rubber seal instead of the hard plastic on the bottom, that would keep it in place.

great size. great color. quiet close. This can is everything I need it to be. Why did I wait so LONG to replace my nearly 16-year-old kitchen trash can? I'm glad I ordered online as several color choices were available rather than in-store. Can arrived in perfect condition.

I purchased this with reservations due to the reviews. Well, it is cheap! It's not painted. It's tinted stainless steel. I bought the red one, which was beautiful. But that tint comes right off. Will not hold up to normal wear & tear. Extremely disappointed.

The kitchen trash can is wonderful. I love the foot pedal and that the liner comes out. I've only had it for a couple of weeks and I absolutely love it. It is easy to keep clean and in today's kitchen that is a plus. I needed a can that would save space as my kitchen and kitchenette are small. Its rectangle shape provided me with the ability to put in an unobtrusive spot in my workspace and not interfere with my daily tasks taking place. I would recommend this Tramontina product to anyone.

I own two and don't hesitate to recommend these to others. The only thing I'd suggest is to place a 6" 2x2 (or two square ABC-type blocks) between the can and the wall so the lid mechanism doesn't wear a groove in your wall when someone repeatedly pushes the can while stepping on the lever. I didn't have any issues while living by myself, but had my roommate couldn't step on the levers without pushing the can into the wall.... Problem fixed, but sharing. :) Easy to swap 13 gallon bags when needed, and I sometimes pull the insert out to put near the counter when chopping lots of vegetables at once. Highly recommend. Love the Tramontina trash cans!!

Very nice can. The cooper color is on point. Love how the can has a soft automatic close so that it won't slam shut. Best part you can't see the trash bag hanging on the outside, you can tuck it inside. Nice and deep, seems a little bit larger than 30 gal. So far good product and got on sale!
