I applied it to straight hair pulled back in a ponytail I was afraid that my natural hair would revert back to curly because the tamer was a wet consistency. It didn't revert back however I don't think it's a product I would purchase . However, I would recommend it if its.something you just want to have. I wasn't blown away by this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently received the Garnier Sleek and Shiny line to try for my review. I used the products for over a week as well as my two daughters. I have long, straight hair. Medium thickness with some greys that tend to fly away. My oldest daughter has long, very thick curly hair. My youngest has very long, wavy hair with heat damage from a styling tool that malfunctioned. This caused breakage and flyaways/frizz that have plagued her for over a year. I don't normally use a serum as my hair tends to not always need it, but if I ever style my hair with a heat product I will run a serum through after styling. I also use a serum if my hair has been pulled up and seems dried out or frizzed and needing refreshing. The Garnier serum worked perfectly for both of these occasions. In fact it worked just as well if not better than the expensive salon brand serum I would normally use. It had a wonderful scent that wasn't overpowering and complimented the shampoo and conditioner. Lastly it nourished my hair without leaving it feeling greasy. My oldest daughter has curly hair and uses a line specifically for curly hair. But she tried these products to give another viewpoint. She said the serum was her favorite of the three. She also liked the scent and said that her curls drank it right up and felt plump and hydrated after using. My youngest has heat damage that she struggles with. It's so hard for her to get that sleek look to her hair because of the breakage and damage. She said this serum is her "holy grail" now. I would have to agree. It helped smooth her hair without weighing it down or making it greasy. Her hair was definitely sleek and very shiny. Something she had been struggling with. We have already bought a second bottle for her and it is part of her regular routine now!

I no longer worry about the frizzies in my hair as this gel tames the static hair at first touch while also allowing me to style it as wanted. The mascara-like wand nicely applies the serum to the hair. It’s so easy to use. I love that this product is cruelty-free, lightweight and flake-free.

It's also paraben-free and vegan. The only negative is that it isn't sulfate-free, although some of their conditioners are.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been seeing a lot of people using flyaway tamers when they put their hair up. I put mine up in a clip and then used the wand. I didn’t really notice a difference, but maybe it was because I have a lot of flyaways or maybe it is the hairstyle. It smells really good though.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Anti-Frizz Serum right after I washed and conditioned my hair, while it was still damp, and then let it air dry (It's recommended that you blow dry it, but my hair is so thick, and I usually don't have the time for that), but even letting my hair air dry, it is still so sleek and soft, PLUS it has a great fragrance. My fly-aways are tamed, my hair is soft and easier to brush and it's so much more manageable than before! I will definitely be recommending this product to my friends and family!
