Perfect Blend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would buy a barrel of this wine if I could. Troublemaker sits in the goldilocks zone of red wines. It's not too bitter and not too sweet; its perfectly weighted. You'll taste notes of smoke and enjoy a smooth, bold finish. After the first glass, I knew we'd be buying Troublemaker by the case going forward, it really is that delightful. We were incentivized with an offer on this product, and are glad we were. We highly recommend!!

Good casual wine with good value for price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I enjoyed the Hope Family Wines Troublemaker Red Wine with dinner. It wasn't too tart or too sweet. The label is a little weird as far as design goes with the purposed ripped look but I think this is a great casual wine to share with friends.

Delicious and unfussy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was an easy sipper that my husband and I both liked. We drank it on its own, but it could easily be paired with beef or a nice chocolate to enrich the flavor. I did feel that it isn't the smoothest and there is a bit of a "bite" at the end, but it wasn't unpleasant. The price is perfect for a night at home or a gift. Personally, I enjoyed the name as well and may give it to a "troublemaker" friend since I know it tastes good as well as being funny.

Not bad

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ok so I don’t know how to explain wine flavors but I’ll do my best. This is a bold and hearty wine! Not bad but if you’re looking for light and fruity this is not for you. Pair this with a nice streak or something. I would buy it again.

Great gift idea

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I only buy wine for the label. I used to love a wine called dirt cheap. It was discontinued. I needed a saucy label, and this is it. I love the red label, and I love the name. I brought this to my sisters house yesterday and we both liked it. We had it with pot roast. I will be getting a case for the holidays.

Nice bold taste

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This review is incentivized. I paired this wine one evening with a nice simple steak and it went very well together. It has a nice, smooth taste and did not make me feel hungover the next day like some wines do. I would definitely purchase this again and try out their other flavors.

Favorite nightly red blend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This review has been incentivized. We LOVE this smooth blend. Such a great wine for any night of the week. Pairs well with steak or pork, but would also taste delicious with pasta. Beautifully crafted for a drinker.

Good affordable red

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Without sounding like a snob, I usually purchase higher end wines than this one. While hope family vineyards makes a fabulous Austin hope Paso Robles Cabernet on their other label, this particular bottle and line is meant more for mass appeal. It is a good lower priced wine, great for every day drinking. This would be perfect for a summer barbecue, paired with grilled meats. The fruit forward notes balance some of the heavy tannins. Full bodied and bold with medium minus acidity, benefits from a bit of aeration and rest. A tad sweet on the palate, showing black fruits with wood, heavy vanilla, tobacco, peppercorn, espresso, milk chocolates and spices. A blend of Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre, Petite Sirah and Zinfandel. 14.5% alcohol by volume, which is surprisingly high for this price range.
