Perfect Blend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would buy a barrel of this wine if I could. Troublemaker sits in the goldilocks zone of red wines. It's not too bitter and not too sweet; its perfectly weighted. You'll taste notes of smoke and enjoy a smooth, bold finish. After the first glass, I knew we'd be buying Troublemaker by the case going forward, it really is that delightful. We were incentivized with an offer on this product, and are glad we were. We highly recommend!!

We should all be Troublemakers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love blends as you can often get a much higher quality, more enjoyable wine, at a better price point when the winemaker breaks conformance to using only one varietal. Yes, and that’s probably why they call it ‘Troublemaker’. I was skeptical of this wine as cute/funny/clever packaging is often a sign of a mediocre product inside. However, I get the labeling now that I’ve tasted it. Blending varietals is often seen as ‘breaking the rules’ because it’s easier to blend a great tasting wine than to work within the constraints of a single varietal. But, if you ask me, it’s just plain smart… because this is a great quality red, very enjoyable, and at a great price point so you can drink it more often. Wine snobs may turn their noses up to this, but true wine lovers will be impressed with the quality to price ratio here.

Robust red

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m not a big red wine drinker but this was a pleasant surprise. It’s earthy, robust, and smooth, with notes of smoke and vanilla. . Tried it alone as a night cap but it would pair well with lamb and steak. I think this wine would be a general crowd pleaser.

Rich, dark, and aromatic flavors.

Several years ago I attended a dinner part after a book release lecture and we all brought one bottle of wine to share with the host. I can’t remember what I brought because someone else brought a bottle of Troublemaker and I have been drinking it ever since.

Fun value blend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This red blend achieves something not easy for blends to do— it has its own memorable identity. It’s unabashedly bold, with robust fruit and a wonderful melange of chocolate, smoke, vanilla and slightly tart cherry. Love it, especially at the price!

Favorite nightly red blend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This review has been incentivized. We LOVE this smooth blend. Such a great wine for any night of the week. Pairs well with steak or pork, but would also taste delicious with pasta. Beautifully crafted for a drinker.

Good casual wine with good value for price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I enjoyed the Hope Family Wines Troublemaker Red Wine with dinner. It wasn't too tart or too sweet. The label is a little weird as far as design goes with the purposed ripped look but I think this is a great casual wine to share with friends.

Delicious and unfussy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was an easy sipper that my husband and I both liked. We drank it on its own, but it could easily be paired with beef or a nice chocolate to enrich the flavor. I did feel that it isn't the smoothest and there is a bit of a "bite" at the end, but it wasn't unpleasant. The price is perfect for a night at home or a gift. Personally, I enjoyed the name as well and may give it to a "troublemaker" friend since I know it tastes good as well as being funny.

Strong red

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received this product as part of a campaign in exchange for my honest review. This isn’t my favorite red blend but it’s top rated, it is full bodied and robust. There is a lingering cherry and smoke flavor profile that I don’t love so I think that is throwing me off. Paired with a bolognese sauce the smokiness was very persistent so I preferred it after the meal more than during. Still a solid red blend.

Love it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great red blend! It has lots of velvety flavors. It’s an easy drinking wine. I personally tasted hints of vanilla and smoke. It’s a reliable blend that’s also pretty inexpensive, which is perfect.
